Ekweremadu, wife, doctor, risk 10-year prison term in Uk

Senator Ike Ekweremadu, his wife, Beatrice, and their doctor, Obinna Obeta, will be sentenced on May 5 after they were convicted of organ trafficking, in the first verdict of its kind under the Modern Slavery Act in the United Kingdom.

Former Deputy President of the Senate, Ike Ekweremadu, is at risk of being sentenced to 10 years imprisonment in line with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 of the United Kingdom after a London court found him and his wife, Beatrice, guilty of organ trafficking.

Following the guilty verdicts by Mr Justice Johnson, Ekweremadu and his wife were remanded in custody and await sentencing on May 5.

According to The Mirror, the duo faced the accusations along side a medical doctor, Obinna Obeta, and their daughter, Sonia, who was cleared of charges after the jury deliberated for nearly 14 hours.

Nah wahoo

10 years added to his age ...he could have become a grandpa...or been sent to the grave...beyond.

What is the essence of the money stolen in Enugu state that will now be spent in prison...

Nemesis of those he has denied access to social infrastructure and dividend of democracy...

Enugu state is one of the wretched states in Igbo land after Ebonyi... state....those two states are merely dry land....with no productivity....and someone is denying them of common basic amenities.....

God of Judgement will keep judging all our corrupt politicians.....

From frying pan to fire.

You brainwash your doctor to find donor, you bribe all your support to fly donor to UK, and then promising young chap a home In UK, with a life threatening illness. He reliaze that he could save his life and stay under child support custody.
Now he reported himself to the police the very day he dropped down.
Your torments in hell have just began.

Kidney transplant is done in nigeria.
They pushed themselves to jail in abroad.

They can get much less period if they agree with some conditions.
Hope they bargain for less punishment.

What would it have taken to build Nigeria? A place you called your home, your father land given the opportunity you have to serve in the government.

An average Nigerian man is evil and seize an opportunity to himself only in the expense of others. That's why the leaders, civil and public servants, private sectors and even the common man in the streets will frustrate the Law never to work because of personal gain and will be the first to come to the public to cry me a river.

Very unfair judgement. This is wickedness from the UK authorities. This useless man should not be allowed only 10 years.

The Minimum for this type of crime should be 750 years without option of fine. Hard Labour inclusive. He should be made to sweep from Liverpool to Edinburgh every morning.

Even at death, his skeleton should be in that Prison for at least 800 years for onlookers.

I pray you come to Europe again after your release. O go show you shege.
