Kas Lawal companies are bankrupt, he has many dirty deals with former South African president Zuma that send him to prison, Kas brother was arrested in Congo for bloody gold smuggling, Nigeria government revoked his oil wells licences, he is in serious debt with Zenith and other banks, Agip took over most of business, you can't even compare the chronic debtor to top 10 Igbo richest
All these your lies are from propaganda blogs.
All rich people have one debt or the other and they always deal with them.

Kas Lookman Lawal is an international business man with chain of businesses all over.

This is one of his speeches just to know the span of his biz..

*No Igbo billionaire dead or alive comes close to him.
Even Alakija,a Yoruba woman multibillionaire will buy all Igbo billionaires combined.*

Briefly, I want to provide an update on activities in the Gambia and Kenya. In the Gambia, in addition to ongoing geological and geophysical study, we continue to evaluate the existing 2D seismic lines in order to delineate and optimize 3D seismic program. We will study the results of African Petroleum's exploration well, targeting the 500 million underlying prospects in Block A1 expected to be drilled in the second half of this year. As we said on the last call, as we de-risk our Gambian blocks with more data, we will pursue partnerships with reputable exploration and production companies. We expect any partnership to allow the company to recover past costs, reduce future capital commitments and accelerate exploration drilling activities.

In Kenya, we recently announced that Sander Geophysics Limited completed its acquisition of airborne gravity and magnetic geophysical surveys on our Kenya onshore Blocks L1B and L16. These surveys cover essentially the entire acreage of both blocks and have satisfied the post-exploration period's gravity and magnetic survey requirements. The results of these data transaction, and I expect them in the third quarter of this year, will be used to optimize the placement of 2D seismic lines. This work will coincide with evaluation of existing seismic and well data on Block L1B to identify leads for closer study.

Our deepwater offshore Blocks L27 and L28, our technical team is undertaking a regional geologic study in advance of our participation in the 2D multiclient seismic acquisition sponsored by the Kenyan government. This government-led acquisition covering both blocks will allow CAMAC Energy to acquire 2D data much sooner and at much lower cost than would otherwise be possible. We expect the acquisition to commence within the next 12 months.

As in Gambia, we will also be observing the results of the near-term drilling activity of core and adjacent to our blocks, both onshore and offshore Kenya. In the transitional zone and offshore, Ophir and Apache both have potential high-impact wells planned for the second half of the year adjacent to our Block L16. The most near-term and most interesting exploration well is targeting the large Kiboko oil prospect on offshore L11B, which is operated by Anadarko. Block L11B is immediately in-board of our own deepwater Block L28. And we believe a successful discovery there will have significant implications on the prospectivity of our own acreage.

In Kenya, we're also receiving inbound interest from international operators looking for farm-in opportunities in East Africa. We are holding informal discussions and expect the quantity and the quality of the interest to increase as we de-risk our acreage with more data. Any partnership formed will have the same objectives I described earlier.

BODE AKINDELE.

Late Akindele can be described as one of the few authentic billionaires —real old money— who contributed significantly to the growth of the Nigerian economy. With an estimated wealth of over $1.2 billion, he was one of Nigeria’s foremost business figures who operated in a world of challenges and surprises. Yet he grew to become an international man of influence whose success built on integrity, hard work and divine grace. His Modandola Group, the holding company through which the billionaire mogul coalesced his business interests covers a wide range of activities including banking, real estate, shipping and manufacturing. He is also the founder of Fairgate Group, a United Kingdom-based holding company with significant interest in properties. His company owns, among many others, the seven-storey imposing building on Bond Street in London, with Sainsbury and ASDA Walmart as his tenants. Throughout his life and business dealings, Chief Akindele built a reputation on the singular conviction that integrity is the main protection for any businessman. His long and rewarding relationship with his foreign partners notably Joseph Farsha, Nahman, Kemmons Wilson and most especially the Rothschild Family, are tied to his conviction. It would be recalled that late Akindele was one of the original founders of the defunct controversial Bank of Credit and Commerce International, BCCI, in Nigeria —which later became Africa International Bank with the likes of late Sultan Dasuki and some powerful Northern oligarchs as co-founders. But having observed that he could not stand the conduct of the other partners, namely their lack of regard for ethics and integrity, the tycoon opted out of the business, only for the BCCI scandal to break into the open shortly after his exit.

I thought there was a difference between super store, super market and shopping mall .30 Adidde that is in diya street gbagada or bariga n road Akoka cannot be equal to 1 prince super market on the same diya street in terms of patronage, volume of sales and inventory, the king of the mall business is shorite but I I know a lot of igbo friends who have outlets in shoprite including Slot.

This comparison is at best not deep and not insightful

Even MrBiggs and Walmart have tiny branches. That is business acumen.Environment and locations determine things.
Igbos dont know about how to run business, make profit and still be resilient even after decades.
This is why Igbos dont have businesses existing up to 40,50 years.
Yorubas have biz existing more than 100 years and still counting even growing stronger.
Yorubas are very much business savvy.

Prince has been there since 2011, but blew up around 2016
I have been to shop rite, prince, addide and just rite all within Akoka, bariga, diya street gbagada and ikeja. I actually ran some analytics on some activities for some forecasts. Shop rite holds the ace but cost of doing business is too high, I know companies that left shop rite out of frustration , others are operating their at very high opex and barely make small profit margins, prince is presently expanding their gbagada base by pulling down old structures and putting in place bigger structures. Addide is just operating within a smaller space as there is a bigger shop called home affairs opposite it that is controlling their market.

You missed out the niche super market home affairs owned by yoruba that is equally doing well
In between there other specialized shops within shop rite that are doing fine

Prince and shop rite can be classified as mall, while justrite and home affairs are super markets, addide is just super store competing with other super stores like shop city on the same diya street road.
I think the prince is the real market controller in that axis.

The super market business is a low margin business and very competitive.

Shoprite is not a mall.It is not where some shops or whatever are leaving but the mall.
Shoprite pays for using the mall just like the other supermarkets or stores.
Shoprite is a chain of stores not mall.
A lot of people call the malls shoprite because most malls not all, have shoprite in Nigeria.
Bode Akindele has something like these malls in UK with his firm called Fairgate.
He has a lot of supermarkets including Walmart there.
In Nigeria, some people will call those malls,Walmart grin
