I always advise people to go to Federal Medical centers or State University teaching hospitals, and leave all these private quack hospitals that has only one fake doctor that claims to know all.

Trust me, I feel the pain of this man, I have lost someone close to me to such scenario, My sister in-law was killed by one private hospital in Ibadan..it was a difficult journey, hard to accept, painful, I still miss her till this moment, reading this alone made me wanna cry…this case it was a private hospital in ibadan she was induced to deliver a premature baby because her blood pressure was outrageously high, the induction caused her whole body to paralyze and left her battling for her life while they operated her and removed the child…it was a dark night for us…
when they knew it was finished the referred her to uch, my only sister in-law died after she fought to stay but couldn’t anymore, didn’t even mention the baby came out dead too..omo the trauma no be here.

My heart goes out to this man and her family… RIP to this wonderful woman, you died while trying to bring a child to this world.

Student doctor kwa in government hospital? The unit consultant and doctors don am.

You dey trust naija doctors..Those people are worse than Boko boys. It's better to seek 10th opinion when dealing with naija doctors.

This occurred in a third-world nation where no one cared to prosecute physicians for negligence.

Expect incidents like these to persist until the government puts a stop to this nonsense and starts prosecuting these killers who called themselves doctors.

Most hospitals are only interested in the money you spent not service delivery.

I usually don't like to comment on threads like this because the Nigerian public hates doctors and their minds are already made up irrespective of any explanation you may give.
However, that wasn't a medical student. The doctor is likely a resident in training, but definitely not a student.
2) Hysterectomy (removal of the womb) can be done as a last resort to save the patient's life when all efforts to stop the bleeding has failed.
3) The bleeding caused reduced blood supply to her kidneys, making them shut down, leading to kidney failure and subsequent dialysis.
It's a very sad story and unfortunate outcome.

Sounds very unlikely a medical student would be allowed to do a C-section especially in a government hospital. Maybe they meant a resident doctor - but again this should have been done under supervision of a consultant.

Sadly, someone has lost her life as a result of poor care provided.

the maternity ward of the Edo specialist hospital need to shut down and the CMD of the hospital should resign. This is pure madness. What concerns student doctor with patients at the first place? As a student doctor his job is to observe hw things are being done and not to engage with patients one on one, talkless of conducting operation by himself. That shows how disorganised the hospital is, the CMD does not know his job. Who is the matron who attended to the student doctor during the operation? Is the matron not aware that the doctor is just a student? And as such prevent him from carrying out the operation or at least raised alarm. First the student doctor need to go to jail. And the maternity ward shut down.
