Ekweremadu: As Parting Gift, Beg King Charles For Royal Pardon - Reno Urges Buhari

Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri has appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari to plead with the British monarch, King Charles III for a royal prerogative of mercy for former deputy senate president, Ike Ekweremadu, IGBERETV reports.

IGBERETV reported that a UK court on Friday sentenced Ike Ekweremadu to ten years in prison. His wife was also sentenced to six years in prison, while their doctor, Obinna Obeta, was sentenced to ten years and six months in prison.

Taking to his Twitter handle, Omokri urged President Buhari to seek for a royal pardon for Ekweremadu as a parting gift to Nigeria.

Reno wrote,

“As a parting gift to Nigeria, I appeal to President Muhammadu Buhari to use his private audience with King Charles III to appeal for a royal prerogative of mercy for Senator Ike Ekweremadu, which is within the power of the British monarch.

”The President will forever be appreciated and remembered for this gesture to a man who has served Nigeria loyally and dedicatedly and who only committed the crime he was convicted of because of desperation, as a loving father of a child in dire need of a kidney transplant.”

This Reno just looking for relevance by jumping on any trending topics.. yet his contributions are of lower IQ... Can't he just keep his mouth shut for a while? Asking for pardon for someone who hasn't even used a week in jail? If Buhari can be foolish enough to ask for such request, you think King Charles will also be foolish to stain his profile by obliging such request? Organ harvesting isn't a lower grade crime, or you think UK judiciary is being compromised like the one we have in Nigeria?.... This is dead on arrival!! Especially because it's first of its kind...

In Law, there is a maxim that you don't approbate and reprobate at the same time.

Reno has often painted himself as a man of high ethical standard. Circumventing justice is against moral discipline.

Personally, i pity the Ekweremadus but justice must take its natural course.

Life is about the good & the bad times.

Sycophants who impatiently judged the case immediately Ekweremmadu was arrested concluded Ekweremmadu is a saint in the case. They said political enemies are the ones victimizing Ekweremmadu. They claimed the boy's age is the only case, that Ekweremmadu will be set free once the age is confirmed. Where are those sycophants now?

I sympathize with Ekweremmadu family. But I appreciate the prevalence of justice. Ekweremmadu was not decent in the contract. He deliberately started the shady deal and tried to cover it up. Do not just criticize the greedy Obeta, also criticize Ekweremmadu who knew the illegality of the deal but funded the deal.

Reno, you should be advocating for a parting gift that will benefit Nigerians and not a few corrupt individuals(you inclusive) A lot of Nigerians stopped taking you serious the moment they discovered, you can do anything for the money.
