The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Nasarawa State Command today handed over 500 tons of vandalized railway materials to the Nigeria Railway Corporation (NRC), in Nasarawa State.

Addressing NewsMen at the Command Headquarters in Lafia, the State Commandant Abbas Bappa Muhammed msgt, who spoke through the Public Relations Officer DSC Jerry Victor, said the vandalized railway materials includes various components such as rails, sleepers, ballast, and other materials was intercepted by the gallant men of the Anti-Vandal and Intelligence Units in various locations within the State.

The NSCDC Boss, extolled the bravery and gallantry performance of the men of the command for this remarkable achievements over the years. In his words "Criminal elements who derive joy in sabotaging the efforts of the government will be not be spared". As the leading agency in protection of National Critical Assets and Infrastructure, the NSCDC will not relents in it's efforts to fish out government saboteurs in the country.

Receiving the items, the Regional District Manager of the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC), North Central District, with it headquarters in Kafanchan, Kaduna state, Mr. Austen Ashibekong, thanked the Commandant for showing unique prowess and impressive dexterity in service delivery. In his words "The NSCDC have been partnering with the Railway Corporation in fighting against vandalization/theft of Railway materials and Infrastructure in the country. We appreciate your efforts in clamping down on these criminal elements, he said.

This items will go a long way in addressing some of the challenges the Railway Corporation is having at the moment, I wish other agencies will emulate what the NSCDC are doing.

Can you just imagine; these people are wicked! But it also shows that NRC does not monitor the rail lines. This is high negligence on their part.

What is this country Turning into? So people now have the time and guts to harvest railway iron bars unrestricted

Those iron bars are freaking heavy and it will take lots of time and effort to get them off the track.

Most of them are from abandon rail track, let the govt pull all these resources together because an idle property na for men to move am.
