China still have access to Russian oil and gas that has become relatively cheap due to lack of sales because of the western sanctions and still do business with the West while Russia and the West are pouring billions into Ukraine war, something that is not bringing them anything in return, I even heard China is paying Russia with Yuan

It's not gonna happen anytime soon but on the long run because Yuan value is very low, that is why they're making plans for the BRICS currency, if they achieve that and more countries join BRICS (especially the oil rich countries) then it'll be easy for the BRICS currency to overtake dollar as international means of settlement and reserve.

Meanwhile, the only country with strong economic value and influence in BRICS is China, others are still struggling
