That is a driver's salary in the bank. That's the industry standard.
An outsourcing company will not pay above the industry standard.

Drivers are not the only contract staff. I earned same amount as a contract staff in one of the banks. Though the bank is now paying contract staff now 60k.

No contract staff in a bank is paid 45k. Lies upon lies. They are paid more than that. Way more. Even double. That's probably the salary of a security man or cleaner.

Core staff are paid very well. Very well.

I know all these bro..The pays lip is a standard drivers salary in Lagos. Drivers outside Lagos are being paid #35k.
I left the bank as an officer and I know the salary scale of all officers in the bank and outsourced staff.
Whatever the bank pays you is dependent on your job role as an outsourced while permanent staffs are paid based on their grades.

From the payslip, you will see that it was an outsourcing company that is paying the staff directly...

That means the bank 🏦 pay upto 100k and the outsourcing company have removed their cut to arrive at that figure....

That's why I hate anything outsourcing company, but most Nigerian company have given the recruitment part of the company to them these days

And you know the funny thing about this arrangement?

The Outsourcing Company/Companies are usually owned by The MD/CEOs Wives or Relations. This I saw and experienced with a now defunct 3rd Generation Bank.

Same with the Cleaning Jobs at the Banks. The Outsourcing Company get paid #75k Per Head then month end comes and the Cleaners get paid 23,500.00. This one is reserved for EDs/AGMs Wives and Relatives. They will give them like 3/4 Branches to manage.

That's is why you see many of those guys always "begging" for assistance to augment whatever the earn monthly. Run errands for Tips and so on.

No bank is paying contract 60k. Know this and know peace. They have all increased salary, even before the salary increment it was more than 60k.

Again, Sunday flexing is usually higher than normal day flexing for some people because e dey normally be free enjoyment day and no much work.

1. Bankers : Earns well. Usually Six Figure Monthly. In this Categories you have the Regular Staff, Middle Level Staff, Management Staff, The Top Echelons

2. Bank Workers: Earns Miserly Sums ( as shown in this Payslip). This Category are the Tellers, Cleaners, Drivers ( majorly Contract Staff)

Lol. No banker would tell you they earn 500k. Bankers hardly ever tell their salaries. At best they tell you it is not what you think (40/60k). I doubt any bank pays a contract staff inside the bank (CS, Marketing or Operations) below 60k in 2023. I also do not know of any bank that pays core staff below 180k at Entry Level. The big banks pay above 240k.

I don't understand the endless obsession with bankers salaries. They are not the least paid professionals in Nigeria na.

oga, even the cashiers and some staff inside the banking hall too are on contract,a former staff at eco bank told me he got employed at another bank as rco, resident compliant officer,on contract!
