soil4soil: Exactly. Awolowo was a very upright man, and did a lot as premier of the western region. But he couldn't win presidency because he couldn't play that political game and didn't have money. lexy2014: Do your research...I moved to Ibadan recently, and the works of Awolowo is still very evident here since the 50s, in the educational sector. Tinubu built massive Government secondary schools all over Lagos...from Bariga, to Ogba, to Egbeda area...those schools still stand till this day. Go and do your research. 4 Likes |
