OfoIgbo:
Tinubu has already put millions of long suffering Nigerians in harm's way, by unilaterally removing the oil subsidy without putting measures in place to ameliorate the situation.

NLC is not against subsidy removal, however NLC is against doing so, without proper consultations and policies to make it less painful on the general population

Bros, the only measure I believe that will help us as a country is if the govt keeps subsidy till the refineries are up and running.
How could it be possible for Dangote to build a 650,000 bpd refinery from scratch within a few years yet in 8 years Buhari looted several billions of dollars earmarked for the repairs of our refineries. We are too docile as citizens. We don't ask the relevant questions.
Tribalism is the weapon our politicians have employed to divide us and ensure we don't challenge them & stop their excess.

The strike they called will be the beginning of their end.

The battle line is drawn, we are embarking on strike and will see it to the latter. God punish Onanuga and all his cohorts like you for inflicting untold hardship on innocent Nigerians.

No one is saying subsidy shouldn't go, fix our refineries and put palliatives in place before it's removal. The same thing your Lord Tinubu said in 2012 when GEJ tried removing it. Why the sudden change and haste.

We will ground/paralize the nation by Wednesday if the price of fuel is not reversed.

Nonsense kawai!

That's the problem... We can't afford subsidy with our debt burden

So we should suffer for the debt while those criminals keep looting without mercy.
Let them keep subsidy and repair the refineries.
My brother, those politicians no send u & I. They will remove subsidy and loot the money.
So the only thing we can hold on to is for them to repair the refineries. I'm not interested in palliatives because that's another avenue to loot.

Even if the price of petrol increases when we refine locally,it wouldn't be as high as it is now. It will be reasonable.

Well said my brother.
Tinubu shouldn't expect us to support him now that he has become president and done the same thing he criticized GEJ for in 2012.
Fix refineries then remove subsidy.

Karma is a crazy b*tch.

NLC is not against removal of fuel subsidy. They want minimum wage increased and palliative measures put in place before the removal of fuel subsidy. Go and read their statement.

Even if the refinery works by July, pms would still be sold at #600 .
Tinubu should fix the power sector first before thinking of fuel remover.
A large percentage of Nigerians depend on pms to power their home

Nigerians support subsidy removal... Let NLC try their strength

This is how you and Bayo onanuga will deceive Tinubu to his doom

Remember he is an unpopular president and right now you people want him to engage himself in an unnecessary fight that should have never been there in the first place

What is wrong in reverting to status quo, engage in some discussion with the NLC and TUC and have an agreement.

What is wrong with that

Brother, This is the Grand Plan of the Satanic, Jihadist APC Party
to handover Nigeria's Wealth to Dangote and Powerful Northern Elements.😞

How can someone Complete and commission his Private Refinery
And Next 2,3 Days, the FG announce removal of Subsidy?😏😕

These nonentities who have invaded Nigeria's political space politicize everything.

When Oshiomhole was the leader of NLC and was resisting everything Obasanjo did, whose script was he playing?

The good thing though is that hardship knows no tribe, party or religion.

No nah brother. That refinery might start operation around late next year or even 2. Have checked and checked. They ain't ready. Don't know why they rushed to open the refinery though

The situation then warranted it. But things have changed.

What have changed exactly?

There are more poor people in Nigeria today than 2012

Our economy was much more stronger and could even take the shock then than now

We are in the middle of massive inflation and you say we are better

Some of una no get sense really

Once the strike fails in Lagos, it is over.
I think you are confusing strike with protest.
NLC strike never fails because NLC actually contribute to national purse.
