From the picture, it's obvious the track needs urgent rehabilitation. It could be as a result of linear expansivity caused on the track. I can't tell if the gradient is a sloppy one that could cause derailment as a result of speed. Moreso, it could be signaling error caused as a result of a failed system. However, someone has to take responsibility for the fatal accident.

The British built railroads all across India and Pakistan during the Colonization Era. This rapidly helped to move soldiers easily across ..
In later years, the railroads were used to move civilians, goods all across India.
The good thing about it was the Indian govt never neglected the rails.. they developed on it and made it more efficient and economical..
Nigeria on the other hand, completely ignored it. Refused to upgrade the rails back then.
It would have gone a long way in reducing wear and tear on our roads.
