The Senate should pass a bill and the President sign it into law that Nigeria will no longer sell crude in any international market, rather Nigeria will only sell finished products. That way the 36 states, of the federal, will own a refinery that will use the over 2 million barrels of crude oil that we produce daily. This is just one of the numerous natural resources that we have in Nigeria, this means Nigeria will then be a hub of fuel production, and we will have no business with a lack of jobs for our teaming youths, rather foreigners will be begging to come to Nigeria to get a job. The White is so intelligent that the created a world market for crude oil sales and the sales of other natural resources but no international market for the sale of fuel.

Though the OP recommendation is naive, your question is quite dumb, sorry to point it out - if you export refined product wont you still earn the same foreign exchange? I guess you didn't think about it before typing.

@OP, the international powers wont let you do it. They will lobby and bribe the weak government officials not to do it in the first place. If that fails they will try to sabotage your refinery building process sis e you source all the parts and technology from them. If that fails, they will refuse to buy the refined products by imposing sanctions using one pretext or the other. They will forment trouble in that country by financing and arming opposition groups in a bid to change the regime. They can sponsor coups and/or assassination by poisons etc. All these will succeed because our people are weak, disunited, gullible and easy to bribe.

You are actually the one making dumb analysis.

Mention any country that buys refined product. If Nigeria refuses to sell crude, won't other countries sell? You think they will buy refined fuel from you?

Una no dey think

probably scored E8 or F9 in economics. If you dont sell crude oil how will dollars to fund operations of oil exploration exploration companies like expat, oil rigs, equipment and parts Is refinery’l that easy to build and operate And who told you whites, indians or Chinese dont export crude or refined fuel

Is Nigeria the only country that sells crude oil? Namibia just discovered huge deposits of crude oil, if Nigeria stops selling, what stops buyers from buying from Namibia? Also, remember that Nigeria belongs to OPEC - so you must do what everyone has stated should be done. You can only enact such a policy for a product you exercise a full monopoly of. Ghana was doing yanga with cocoa. Now they are researching into synthetic cocoa and investing in cocoa plantations in Ecuador and Indonesia. As for Indonesia, she is insisting that miners should refine the nickel, cobalt and lithium before exporting them. That can be possible considering the major consumer is China, and Indonesia is closer to China than, say, Ghana. The economics will make sense.

The average Nigerian is an economic illiterate. Yet another hill for me to die on.

Have you asked yourself why they created a market for crude sales, rather than the refined products

do you have the technology to build a refinery without foreigners Dangote refinery is using indians. The old nigerian refineries were built by french. So we should make law without us having a functioning refining eco system 🤣.
Saudi made $138b from crude oil sales and $35b from refined oil sales. Are they stupid

Even Canada exported most of its crude oil instead of refining. If working countries like the two examples are focusing more on exports of crude . Why should Nigeria be any different

We can mandate every state government of this regime to only do one project and that is to build one refinery, if we have 37 including in fct, we can distribute our 2million barrels of crude oil daily to them and create our own international market where countries can come and buy refined proudcts, even if it is only African countries that will buy, we are ok.
Re: See The Only Solution To Many Nigeria Problems by Britishpea: 10:38am On Jun 12, 2023
International countries won’t buy a refined product. They will go to other countries that want to sell crude. There are so many bye products in crude which made them to buy it. Some don’t even buy because of PMS.

You will be left with poor West African African countries to buy your PMS. They won’t be able to afford it because of cost of production and refining. We have always been subsiding for them. It is cumbersome.

It actually make sense that Nigeria is a failed states, look at the way this clown is thinking.
Break away from international market and sell your own crude, lol (who the hell are you)
Even Saudi Arabia the apex predator of the energy market will not try this & besides in this modern age you are still talking about fossil fuel to support your economy.

THE REAL SOLUTION TO YOUR NIGERIA IS RESTRUCTURING IN REGIONAL FEDERALISM. WEAK CENTRE, STRONG REGIONS.. IF NOT, NIGERIA AS IT IS, REMAINS A MERE OIL COMPANY LIKE SHELL OR CHEVRON

INDEED NIGERIA IS NOT A COUNTRY BUT A COMPANY

NIGERIA OIL AND GAS CO LTD.
NIGERIA IS ALL ABOUT OIL.. OIL & OIL.

THE SCRABBLE FOR POWER AND ETHNO-RELIGIOUS SUPREMACY BATTLES IN NIGERIA IARE ALL ABOUT ACCESS TO CONTROL OF PROCEED OF CRUDE OIL.. OIL & JUST OIL. NOT PATRIOTISM...

FIVE PARASITIC GEO-POLITICAL ZONES SUCKING LIFE OUT OF THE NIGER DELTA ZONE IN THEIR QUEST FOR OIL..OIL & OIL.

DEMOCRACY IS SCAM... LEGITIMIZED ACCESS TO LOOT PUBLIC FUND ACCRUING FROM CRUDE OIL..

BUT THIS COMPANY WILL NOT KILL NIGER DELTA.... NIGER DELTA WILL KILL THIS COMPANY...

THE SOLUTION IS FOR US TO REPENT OF FEEDING BOTTLE ECONOMIC AND URGENTLY EMBRACE THE FOLLOWING:
1. ODUDUWA REGIONAL GOVERNMENT
2. AREWA REGIONAL GOVERNMENT
3. IGBO REGIONAL GOVERNMENT
4. NIGER DELTA REGIONAL GOVERNMENT.

ETC
