The reason why Peter Obi is held in very high esteem even by his opponents is because he doesn't see the need to ridicule his own tribe in order to be accepted by outsiders. This cannot be said of other igbo politicians who condemn the whole Igbo tribe at any given opportunity so as to please northerners and westerners.

Orji Uzor Kalu, Rochas Okorocha, Ike Ekeremadu, and other igbo politicians combined together, they don't have up one percent of Peter Obi's electoral value. These are the people who cannot win any free and fair election. No wonder they ate their own people and their people also hate them with passion.

Look at the one in Lagos (Joe Igbokwe), despite the unwarranted attacks on Igbos in Lagos, this man will still find reasons to insult his tribesmen. In politics, if you are not accepted at home, you will be rejected abroad. How will I respect your tribe when your elites ridicule you for fun?

What about Benjamin Kalu?

Orji uzor kalu followed the wrong direction like Peter girigory Obi, Orji uzor kalu was supporting Ahmed Lawn, a northerner even after Buhari, that is why he lost, he cannot be trusted, he is a treacherous saboteur, just like Peter girigory Obi sabotaged Atiku

Sabotaged Atiku because it is the North's turn at the Presidency after Buhari or are you scared to saying Atiku was greedy?

people voted obi because they were all tired of apc and buhari and it has nothing to do with obi's popularity.
these politicians you mentioned would also have come third position if their campaign is sponsored by tinubu the way tinubu sponsored peter obi's campaign.

Guy you get sense. The OP just used guise to sing Peter Obi’s praise. Peter Obi is simply a child of circumstance/necessity. There nothing special about him. This is a man who ruled Anambra State for good 8years without conducting local government election. How has he accounted for the LG’s allocations for these 8years? As far as I’m concerned, Sen. Chris Ngige and some of those he mentioned are far ahead of Peter Obi by track records and achievements. Period.

I have never seen a set of people who hate their own people like Igbo politicians. Hopeless Uzondinma has been killing his own people, mostly youths for the past three years in order to appease the North whom he thinks hold power. If police and army should leave southeast today, most of these crooks would be banished from Igbo land. They are a shame to their generation.

LAMBA Obi killed more youths in Anambra while he was governor than any governor in the history of Nigeria. LAMBA Obi killed over 200 youths in Anambra and dumped their dead bodies into Ezu river

Peter Obi is not left out among the betrayers. Judging from the stand taken by the Labour Party(which he’s the leader) to support Yari(Muslim) against the choice of Akpabio(Christian). I expected him to recuse himself from such stand and even order the party to support a Christian. But he did not and you guys do not see it as betrayal of the Christian interest(an interest he’s supposed to be at the forefront championing)?. He’s simply playing politics and he’s not different in any way. He’s also on the betraying chain.

I guess your assertion that the east don't have a strong politician is wrong.Would Tinubu had won if he left APC to join Labour party? If OBi had upto 21governors in LP he would have gotten upto 15million vote. This is seone that joined an unknown party within 9 months and became a force that defeated TINUBU the Jagaban even in Lagos .

Dey play.

Buhari contested in an unknown party then and got his constant 8/12 million votes and won more house of reps and governorship than what Obi did.

If Tinubu leave APC, he is leaving with at least 9 governors and that tells you how powerful that man is. Even if he contested in a different party with an incumbent that dosent perform to that standards and against a Christian/Christian ticket for example, he will get more votes than what Obi did. SW would have locked down for him and he will still get his Northern ally by his side.

Obi true electoral worth hasn’t been tested, all he got was the church/Christian vote. If a Christian had been on the ballot for APC/PDP, Obi vote will be largely depleted. That’s why during the state governorship election, he couldn’t influence other states for LP and they only got one governor. That’s because religion is not a factor in state politics. Contrast that to what Buhari was able to do with the North with ANPP/CPC.

In this last election, Tinubu won not because it’s APC, he did not even campaign with any APC success, he campaigned based on his own Lagos success. He won over political brokers from the North to his side and their loyalty to him was because he is Tinubu and because of his past record of helping them get the presidency 8 years ago. He will still defeat both your Atiku/Obi, so far they continue to be in different parties.

Kalu still supported Yari in the just concluded election. It is politics, it is a game of choice. It is after the game that analysis like this spring up based on the out come. The same OP's opinion would have been different if Yari had triumphed. He would have started beating his chest.

Sometimes I wonder what is wrong with us in Nigeria. So you think the presence of Soldiers to curb the activities of IPOB masquerading as Unknown Gun Men in the state is a wrong move? You are indirectly supporting unknown gun men who have been wrecking havoc, killing innocent people and destroying properties in SE. Omoh e get as e be for this country oh.

You have to robe saint Peter Obi with Ole Kalu and you still have the effontary to call someone treacherous saboteur. You are a typical example of treacherous saboteur. But do you know that Obi's presidency is capable of healing you? When you are healed and sound, you won't have to continue with this dirty job anymore.

Is Obi God? Look at what you're saying! The same way you turned Kanu into a god and worshipped him publicly. God had to treat his mess up for accepting the role. And that is why he is going through that hard time he is experiencing. You know what made it way softer for Igboho? He never for once put himself in the role of God. He was always acknowledging God but his weakness is that he doesn't listen to sound strategy. You have started again with Obi. You guys will ruin his chances forever because God will never share his glory with any man!

Guy we truly share same pattern of reasoning. Nnamdi Kanu completely assumed the place of God to them. His pride is beyond description. The same part(part of unelectable president like Atiku), they are obviously pushing Obi into. However what baffles me the most is Obi’s ineptitude and lack of understanding of this. Obi simply lacks vision and strategy. I give it to Tinubu.

IDIOTS.

Stop saying nonsense.

Tinubu was strong not because he is Yoruba, a strong politician is a strong politician.

Currently, the SE don’t have any strong politician and it’s not a matter of them selling their people.
