managing the dollar will not work because it's a floating market, u can't have a floating market and still be managing the available dollars, what u need is to earn more dollars and that's where the problem is ooo, most dollar in our economy is from oil and gas sector, the little agro export and remittance from 9ja people abroad... This is a good thing but, no now...he should have focus to increase our export, help the manufacturers for his first term, he can now implement this policy in his second term.
Allow the economy to continue to bleed through round tripping in this first term? Maybe you were one of those accessing official rate through connections or for hajj. I mean, how many real sector players do you know who where getting dollars at official rate?

What I mean by managing the dollar is dollar policy making - whether to float it or peg it at an official rate for emirs and obas and godfathers to profit from.

You're wrong that export is all we need to increase dollar rate. What you're not thinking about is the fact that this policy will bring in a lot of foreign investments - that (plus increase oil revenue by stopping theft and reducing corruption) is how you get more dollars (as long as government makes the right policy in other key areas). Why do you think the stock market is surging? Investors and businesspeople get it - even if some of you don't.

Hope people can now see what is meant by purposeful and deliberate leadership

With this policy, more foreign exchange inflow will come in. Naira may depreciate in the short run but it will appreciate in the long run

You're bad at predictions.

I hope with new exchange rate you are seeing the purposeful and deliberate leadership
