Expected and about time.

Let see how the new chiefs pan out and the attendant grumblings and sabotage that might follow from perceived aggrieved parties.

Just went through the entire list and can't help but wonder if this is how Tinubu intends to unite and govern a one Nigeria?

Why is the S.S. and S.E. regions ominously missing from the list of appointments...

This isn't right at all, no matter what.

Very true. I'm not from there (SE), but the glaring lopesidedness is an eerie reminder of his predecessor, of whom most of us would rather forget.

Among come on, Tinubu, it doesn't make sense.

When you become president you can appoint your purported enemy as your NSA and to be your key security personnel, and see if your life will not be in danger. Igbos have unshamably proven that BAT is their number one enemy and so giving them such a sensitive position to hold will be highly risky

If you're the head of an important agency, the most dangerous hours for you are between 7pm and 9pm Monday to Thursday, and 5pm to 7pm on Fridays.

These are the times when your sacking is likely to be announced.

I am very sure there were senior officers from the SE and SS that were mandatorily retired to pave way for the names on the list.

Buhari did the same. When a SS or SE man becomes the President, he'll do the same.

The Appointment is a bit fair, Most Presidents choose Chief of Army staff from their regions, at least since 1999 it was only Obasanjo that appointed a Benue man - Gen V Malu. The last Yoruba man appointed COAS was Alani Akinrade ( over 40 years ago) So appointing Gen Lagbaja is not a bad call. Secondly, Appointing Ribadu as NSA is not a good call because the Military brass would not defer to a Police officer, we all saw how it went with Sen. Musiliu Obanikoro when he was made Min of State for Defence. His orders were flagrantly flouted with disregard. Ribadu would be treated with disdain or would not receive the full cooperation of the military brass. Another sore note is the appointment of Hadiza Usman ( El - Rufai's girl friend) we all knew how it went down when she held sway at NPA. She is yet to clear the corruption charges levelled against her by Rotimi Amaechi.

These appointments do not reflect the idea of inclusiveness owing to the fact that the SS and SE regions were not part of the appointments. This is the case of nepotism.

Made Ribadu the NSA chief. What an insult. A police DIG to supercede military generals.

NSA is a political appointment and has nothing to do with military rank. And all these while that we have appointed the so-called military generals, what has been their performance? We need to look outside of the military for solutions to insecurity.

Things are about to get interesting. A Yoruba man as Chief of Army Staff (I believe heโ€™s the first Yoruba man in the history of Nigeria to attain the position).

DIG is also a Yoruba man.

These new appointments are also interesting:

Mr President has also approved the following appointments:
S/N NAME APPOINTMENTS

Col. Adebisi Onasanya Brigade of Guards Commander

Lt. Col. Moshood Abiodun Yusuf 7 Guards Battalion, Asokoro, Abuja

Lt. Col. Auwalu Baba Inuwa 177, Guards Battalion, Keffi, Nasarawa State

Lt. Col. Mohammed J. Abdulkarim 102 Guards Battalion, Suleja, Niger

Lt. Col. Olumide A. Akingbesote 176 Guards Battalion, Gwagwalada, Abuja

^Three Yorubas.

And this:

Finally, the President has approved the appointment of Adeniyi Bashir Adewale as the Ag. Comptroller General of Customs

Heโ€™s about to go to work.

Removing the service chiefs is just too early. He would have worked with them for at least 6 months
decatalyst:
Baba don flush and bring in new goons to the helm.

I think his appointments are faster than when Buhari came on board.

Baba is not hitting the ground running, he is flying ooo
