Even in the US and UK - Ranger regiment are quasi-SF tbh.

It’s just basically how commanders fight on the frontline in some military but don’t in others.

Also, SF do a lot of things and you can’t really wear all the gears when you have to disguise for recon or engage in something clandestine. They also do a lot of fighting in the enemy’s rear and being fully kitted won’t cut it there.
