That was some silly excuse. It wasn't because of any cross but just due to hatred for Ganduje.
After all, Ganduje is a Muslim... How come he didn't react to the cross sign? How come the citizens didn't protest? So it took a new governor to spot the cross sign abi?

If the cross sign offended the new governor, he could have simply painted if off or reconfigure that portion. He didn't need to demolish the whole structure. Millions have gone to waste just like that

That roundabout wasn't properly planned. The sheer size of it, reduced the sizes of the connecting roads on all four sides, which often led to traffic clusters, mostly in the evenings when folks were returning from their various work places and in the rush hours of mornings. Considering its proximity to the government house, it posed a security risk having traffic build-up there at any point.

The present Governor was simply supposed to remodel it, but he took his antagonism towards Ganduje to the extreme when he completely demolished it.

A man who has not put one single block on another since becoming a governor has destroyed several structures in less than a month and some people are clapping for him. Edo people, una don get new neighbor. Kano no be Lagos. Lol
