Can't the master plan be redesigned?

This is purely a misplaced priority.

With the current economic reality?

Same exact thing the Pandora criminal n bastard Peter Obi did in Anambra.

I still can't believe the cursed soul looted Anambra state funds to his warehouse in Orile in Lagos n Igbos still celebrate this bastard n thief.

In Nigeria, a sitting government uses public money to build a project and then boasts about it as its signature project as though it is a 'personal project'. So another government comes in and erases these signature projects to destroy the past government's source of pride and discredit it. It doesn't care how much of public money is used in building them. That's what is currently happening in Kano and it happened with TINAPA project, which was allowed to waste away with billions dollars already committed.

This means that in Nigeria, governance is still not about the using the PEOPLE's money to meet their needs but about the political interests of selfish politicians. And this persists because the PEOPLE gullibly take sides with politicians and get short-changed like fools.

Politicking is no longer something they do to assess power but they continue in bitter politics to cancel out one another even after getting there. Like you concluded, the masses whom competition between political parties were designed to favour are the ultimate losers and end up being severely disenfranchised.

Sorry but too much of Nigeria resemble a gigantic land fill sight and must not be forced to remain so by a population with the mentality of tramps because they've been abandoned too long by governments that indulge thire shallow world outlook due to pressure from the West in the name of poor people rights.

State governments need to bulldoze the hell out of the rubbish structures that infest Nigeria. We need to improve our environment which will enable our abilities. No point supporting a shanty town state in the name of opposing the government then cry online about the deplorable state of Nigeria and the need to Jappa to so-called saner environments of "Abroad".

I apologise if I've misread (didn't read )what's going on in Kano but I only need to hear the word Demolish associated with the word Nigeria and I'm automatically cheering. For me, too many of Nigeria state capitals look like the photo below viewed with the corner of the eyes or if you squint. Actually the pic could pass for an impressionists painting of many Nigeria towns. Just add buildings peeping out of the trash, cars along that dirt road, women in colorful wrapper babies tide behind, and, whala, a painting of Nigeria....

....clear that makoko, drag in some oil rigs and convert them to small communities for the people there...

He should have made this as a part of his campaign promises during the period of campaign. You can't promise the people one thing and start a different thing upon the assumption of power
