There's nothing like subsidy there. The amount of money those VIP pay their escorts is astronomical compared to their salaries. In fact, escort services is a huge money making venture for the NPF. Nigeria and stupidity seem to be twins. What the hell is Special Intervention Squad? Nigerian Mobile Police was not only Special Intervention Squad but rapid deployable force. Most Nigerians must always fine means to embezzle fund. The jackass can withdraw Mobile Police from the guard's job however the formation of another so-called "Special Intervention Squad" is a fraud period.

President Tinubu made it clear in his manifesto that he was going to do that.

You don't seem to get it. The SPU would still be servicing the VIPs, however, the Mopols from the SPU shall be withdrawn henceforth into a new 40,000 tactical squad called SIS which will boost security demand across the country.
