Why are there no Codes For “International Best Practices” and “International Standards” for the Police Worldwide.??

At-least we can them to measure and appraise the performance of the Policing of each of the countries..


Other Professions have their “International Standards” and “International Best Practices”, with lots of Manuals to go with them....
(Medicine, Nursing, Engineering, Data-Analysts, Programming, Statistics, Accounting, and so on.)


Why are there no such International Standards for Policing.??

POLICE and MILITARY..


These are the two Most Important things that needed to be quickly restructured in Nigeria.






There are no International Organisations that regulates the practice of Police-Investigations, Public-Policing, and Peace-Keeping Worldwide..

Investigations and Police-Investigations are not studied as a profession.
Public policing, Civil-Engagement, Criminal-Engagement, and Peace-Keeping are not studied as a profession..

Everything that the police are doing in all the countries of the world are just guess-works and gathered-experiences,, which are not controlled by Appraised Standards.. There are no standard police codes which prescribed global sanctions for erring police officers.. there are no International police rules and regulations..
NOTHING.!!

So,, there are no standards.!!

Beyond taking bribes and accidental discharge, the police in NIgeria seems better than elsewhere. The American police can just fire and kill an unarmed civilian especially if they are black. We have this menace too in NIgeria but not as frequently as reported in America, or maybe just that we don't usually speak out and many things are under the footmarch.
