It was not a civil affair and since the FBI won't come clean with all the details of what transpired it is best to assume that no one really knows. Also Tinubu cannot be disqualified on that basis because as the same FBI said, there was no criminal conviction. Tinubu is really a smart guy but I still believe he laundered money for drug barons

So the $460,000 forfeited by Tinubu is for what if not drug?
For drug maybe but he's just an accountant that facilitated monies from clients who were drug dealers..

When the gods wants to kill a man, they first make him mad. This man has nailed Tinubu finally. Opeyemi Bamidele has now joined Festus Keyamo and Femi Fani-Kayode to confirmed the Tinubu Chicago Heroine-drug criminal forfeiture.
That proverb fits Obi.

Kindly explain the civil matter. Your property cannot be seized over a civil dispute except it is crime related.
And that has always been in the US laws.

Kindly tell us the civil matter let us investigate ourselves grin

The chief witness goofed under cross examination.

The defendants saw no need to call up any other witnesses, so those ones don't equally give damning testimonies if and when quizzed by Obi's lawyers.. grin

Very interesting days ahead indeed.

You have started.there was nothing damning actually,he exonerated tinubu.it is a civil forfeiture not a conviction.moreover it is beyond ten years and dead.leave this case,it is dead.no more witnesses will be called because this one destroyed obi's evidences..the hardest battle was at the election, forget this court case

Anyway,I wanted to tell you through my friend Garfield that you should give tinubu till June next year since he is operating under buhari budget.when he deaws up his own budget, judge him

Paste a court document where is stated he was convicted.
The USA govt has written stating he was never convicted.
Is it you or you Pandora liar that convicted him.
Obi is dead politically and can never contest any election again.
but forfeiture is a form of punishment while narcortics is a crime?

Bamidele, who is the immediate past Chairman of the Senate Committee on Judiciary and a registered member of the American Bar Association, said there was no conviction and sentence against Tinubu as required by law for it to be turned to criminal charges.

Case solved!

That's a good legal defence. Civil offence is not Criminal offence.

Nakedtruths:

Guy you dey funny, take that advise that novarisammy2 gave you
In a civil forfeiture in America, the charge is against the property. Tinubu was not a defendant in that case. His entire account was.

Out of all 10 accounts seized initially, only the Heritage bank account was deducted according to American law when there's a suspicion. That doesn't translate to criminal forfeiture because the judges could not prove either way that he was involved or that he innocently kept money for his friend who was involved. The real culprits who were involved were already indicted prior and charged to court.

It's just like you working in Mobil in Nigeria as an accountant and contacted by your friend in America to help him save money in a business account owned by both of you.

It's possible you didn't question the source of those funds because your friend in America was always known to be rich for years. America arrested the drug peddlers who worked for your friend and in tracing the money worldwide they also traced it to your account and blocked the account.

Eventually, because of how huge the savings were they deducted 460,000 dollars because they are allowed by law to deduct not up to 500,000 dollars in case of huge funds.
In this civil forfeiture, you don't have to be proven guilty.

Forfeited money for drug related cases and you said it's not a criminal case. So, drug pushing is no longer a criminal case.

That’s exactly what he said in court. If you read the whole article. Op twisted the headline to give headless mob some erections grin

Here’s it;
In his evidence-in-Chief, Senator Bamidele insisted that the $460, 000 forfeiture order against the President by an American Court was in respect of a civil matter that cannot take the place of criminal charges.

Bamidele, who is the immediate past Chairman of the Senate Committee on Judiciary and a registered member of the American Bar Association, said there was no conviction and sentence against Tinubu as required by law for it to be turned to criminal charges.

NO , Mr Bamidele failed in everything expected from him, he failed and disgraced SAN olanipekun today

Of course, but then tinubu didn’t commit the drug crime! Hence why he never got charged! Emotion can’t win you court cases!

The forfeited money was related to drugs? Yes!

Was Tinubu sentenced for the crime? NO!

Why wasn’t tinubu sentenced
or got any indictment? It was cuz he had a civil forfeiture! Not a criminal forfeiture!

Forfeiture is part of the agreement to close the case. You can't willingly forfeit your property to a stranger when the property is in contest of ownership

Despite all these, the judges will be more interested in the aspect that will favour Tinubu to retain him as president. If are expecting otherwise you will be disappointed.
