Whoever controls the military, controls the State (nation). If he ever succeeds in removing Shoigu, Putin will cease to be the president the next minute.

The Wagner boss was at the fsb office yesterday where his weapons and money was handed back to him. The man is heading to the war front. Infact it is said that his troops are still in bases in Ukraine.
Western intelligence is really confused right now with some alleging it was a game plan all the while to move Wagner to Belarus from which another front can be opened as the Ukrainians are tied down with the offensive south of the country. Don't forget the shortest route to Kiev is through Belarus.
Furthermore, Wagner issue was not with Putin but the defense minster. The power play. Wagner believes they could have achieved more but their ambitions were being put in check by Shoigu.

Wagner group has so far helped the Russians in so many ways, especially doing the dirty jobs in Ukraine. As a matter of fact, the Russians are beginning to realise they are going down the route of US-Afghan war that lasted forever until US borrowed some sense and ended the meaningless campaign.

The question is can Russia prosecute that kind of campaign for many years without going bankrupt.

That's the mistake that man made. Such a mission should never be aborted because if you do, you would surely die. So, he was supposed to carry on and achieve his aim. Now, his life and that of his generals is in danger because of his folly. Even a civilian like me already got disaopointed in the man the moment I heard he aborted the mission. He shouldn't have started it then. If he starts, he must finish or else there's just one option for him - death.
