I think Ecobank is also a culprit or accomplices in this case of =N=13.5B owed Ecobank because how can single individual personally guaranteed a loan of that magnitude and accepted by financial institution which bank knows is the owners of the company seeking the financial credit loan.

EFCC should intervene. People that stole billions are difficult to touch in Nigeria.

This is so sad. Depositor’s money for that matter.

Well, since matter is subjudice, been granted by the Supreme court, the letter is not necessary. They should just drag him to court and court would enforce the judgment. Buying the shares increases his creditworthiness and ability to offset loans he guaranteed. My opinion.
Seems you don't really understand.
The letter is absolutely necessary because the man has smartly evaded sufficient enforcement of the judgement by moving the funds from the debtor companies to the new Barbican company, and now to FBN. This is because the creditors may not be able to recover the full value of the debt if the judgement is enforced as it currently is.
It would take another round of litigation to convince a judge that the action of Otudeko was to undermine the supreme court judgement.

Oba Otudeko and Tony Elumelu are Nigeria’s biggest boardroom thieves. Ogun go kee them very soon.

Why is it that billionaires from SE are usually self made

Define self made. Anyone involved in massive trade/business at some point took loans or obtained products on credit. Ask around

Was there no guarantee before the loan was granted, I mean collateral.

This country hen, if its poor man that want Ordinary 500k loan now all this banks will be demanding even ancestral home documents.

The rule....

You owe the bank millions... that's your problem

You owe the bank billions.... that's their problem

Otudeko is just playing the game. They need him more than he needs them.

Hopefully, FBNH does the needful for the sake of their shareholders.

Removing Otudeko from FBNH was probably the only good thing Emefiele did.

There should regulation relating to these mogules buying over company shares overnight and selling same overnight because they use such short period to reap the corporations apart knowing fully well that he will not suffer the consequences with other shareholders.
