So people seem to think lord lugard was this powerful figure who had all this power to rename a country and amalgamate a country but the truth of the matter was that he was a weakling and the guy who ran the show and controlled him was an Igbo guy. Every decision he made or didn't make wAs sanctioned first and authorised and suggested by this Igbo man. So lord lugard wasn't this powerful figure controlling Nigerians . He was being controlled by one strong son of the soil. His name was OBED EDOM CHUKWUEMEKA azikiwe .read more about him in link below

A people that believes that their progenitor fell down from the sky (some even say hell) will believe every fable concorted thrown at them.

You want to take style blame Igbos for almagamation, e no go work. If you want to blame Igbos blame them for something they're really responsible for like

1. Non-inclusion of secession clause in the original Nigerian document. Azikwe thought he was doing Awolowo and Yorubas but in the end it was his people that suffered the consequence of his actions.

2. The current unitary system of government that allows Hausa-Fulanis to control the destiny of the other 399 tribes. Aguiyi Ironsi thought he was helping his people not knowing that he is relegating them to 3rd class citizenship.
