Nigerian needs vehicles? With the millions of cars lying in car stand for years? Nigerians need food, healthcare, medical care and shelter, not vehicles.

Tinubu is the most useless president the entire world will ever witness

Una go blindly vote in Zacchaeus the tax collector as a president

Thank God Port Harcourt never voted to Tinubu

Even Tinubu himself know say we no vote for him

So he should keep thanking Wike bcuz Wike did what no Yoruba man alive or dead can do for Tinubu

I don't think it will play out. Domestic second-hand sales will surge as the effects of fuel subsidy removal unfold. The demand for new second hand cars won't increase.

Except my recollections are not serving me well, but I thought the tax was only shifted to a latter date and not removed, as suggested here?

Did you read the article at all?

The significant positive impact of removing the import levy is expected to be severely diluted by the rising cost of FX.

Ignorance is truly a disease

In other words no hope for manufacturers like GAC and INNOSON.

It is not about hope, since Buhari increased the import duties, how many Nigerians bought into IVM? The point is, Nigerians irrespective of the product, the quality, would any day prefer a foreign product to home built. That is why we will continue to wail, and blame the government, when in actual sense, we are a direct contributor to the problems.

Indians will first patronise their products, no matter how inferior, today they ship their products everywhere. Indians will never use designers, will always buy Inidan tagged foods and products. If you ask them why, they will simply tell you, it is their own contribution to their country's growth. It is a mentality, that is why you will never see them protest or curse their country.

Licensed Customs agents have said that the removal of the import adjustment tax by President Bola Tinubu would boost car importation by 15 per cent.

May God help us.
