I think things will be different this time around.
Jonathan needs something to tell the world that his administration is capable and also as a president, he's not weak as speculated by most Nigerians. This is a great opportunity to keep Buhari quiet, to slow down the support of Boko Haram's terrible actions by an average Nigerian and to send a message to all Nigerians that casted their votes for Jonathan during the presidential election, that they haven't made a mistake.
This newly arrested group of corrupt governors will smell pepper; they may not realize it at this time, but this group represents a perfect scape goat.

Jonathan and Nigeria need this break more than anything else.
