Gossip one of the key items the flesh uses to keep us after its desires.

Gossip isn't just speaking I'll of someone behind their backs, it's also revealing private information about someone you shouldn't have. And the devil has taken a good deal of time to normalize gossip with the hysterical quote " Everyone does it " or " God doesn't see it".

Being a Gossip proves to God you aren't trustworthy. Proverbs 11:13 " A gossip betrays a confidence, but a trustworthy person keeps a secret".


That's not so God hates gossip as much as he hates all other transgressions.

In the book of Ephesians 4: 29 Paul says " Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen".

If you must talk about someone speak good about them and if you aren't happy with someone's character speak to them in person and correct them with love and don't go spreading discord about that person.

Proverbs 6:16-19 mentions seven things that are an abomination to God and verse 19 says " a false witness who pours out lies
and a person who stirs up conflict in the community"

The tongue holds power over life and death let's learn to caution ourselves.
