gbadexy: Well done sir. Can you please explain when you said the wall preparation was application of primer to reduce the amount of paints. Does this mean an alternative to screeding ? Secondly, earlier you gave the prices of various paints including Silk, Matte etc.... You didn't mention Silk Emulsion or Matte Emulsion. Are these cheaper for us that are planning to do our house painting. I'm just looking for better and cheaper including quality in my house project. How much are these paints(Silk Emulsion and Matte Emulsion ? Thank you sir. |

What brand of paint are you using? I prefer to use Dulux or Sandtex, very nice quality. |

azikiweironsi:Thank you sir. The wall was screeded with black cement. It needs more water for the cement to fully react and it takes more water from the paint and reduce spreading somewhat. The primer is to make the background surface brighter before application of paint and reduce paint consumption especially if bright color is intended for the wall.. I mentioned silk and matte already in the other thread. Maybe you didn't understand it because I included emulsion. All water based paints are emulsion. You may use primer as alternative to screeding but the plastered wall must be smoothly done 1 Like |

omotoyosiT:I produce my brand of paint called Regal paint. We use machine and basically the same chemicals also. I could even include specialised chemicals you won't see easily in market brands on request. 1 Like |
