Igbo as a tribe is pronounced as IBO. The "G" is silenced.

Igbo as a substance is actually pronounced with the "G".

Igbo. Means Bush in Yoruba language
It could also mean cannabis
While
Down east it's the name of a tribe. Following you analogy that tribe must be high...which wouldn't be surprising giving that they always behave like a people under the influence of hard drugs
Same with Olaniyi in Ibo language# When someone say ilaniyi or Olaniyi in ibo🤣🤣😅😅

Same is applicable to you here because the

Olodo you see in this post is pronounced Olodo (Rẹ mi mi) that is a wooden Mortar and not

Olódò (re mi re) which is colloquially used to describe someone who is goofy or silly or illiterate In yoruba Language like you.

Olodò_ dull person
Olodo- owner of a mortar
Same spelling in english but different sound.
Beside & for more edification, most Yoruba names do have at least 3 meanings depending on how they are pronounced e.g. Olodo could mean: Owner of a Mortar or Owner of a river or a dullard/an slowpoke. Let's us try to bury the hatchets & move forward as one Nation. Good morning.

In Yoruba language, a word has several pronunciation which affects the meaning despite having the same spelling. Thus;

Olodo------ who has mortal
Olodo------ water area
Olodo------ a nonentity
Etc.

Note; The (3)words have varying phonological rendition.
Well explained... Those ipob pigs just like to talk trash on yoruba

The bridge must have been very dumb🤓

Next time, humbly ask for the meaning.

Olodo means someone that owns Mortal and pestle (for pounded yam)

or Someone that sells Mortal and Pestle ( for pounding yam)

It is possible that in that area, they were selling mortal and pestle as they do in Odoogbolu in Ogun State.

Yoruba language (an international language) has various words written as the same words with different tones, just like any other international language.

Take a moment to imagine that your mother or sister or daughter or son is directly affected by this natural disaster, maybe stuck in a submerged house by this flooding, what will your immediate response be? Will it still be possible for you to type the insensitive comment you just posted? It doesn't take much to become a real human being but you're just too lazy to use your brain

No this can't be true! This is a village in Awka. Ibadan is like Dubai...there is nothing like erosion in Ibadan only beautiful waterfalls and spring valleys that attract tourists from all over the world.

Fab21:
Olódó- 'The owner of mortar'
Olódo- 'A dumb person'

Yorùbá is a tonal language just like many other African languages; except fulfulde and swahili.

Hence, some words in yorùbá Language have the same spelling but the TONE will differentiate those words.

I think the writer should've assigned tone on that word; 'Olódó' to avoid confusion.

Another Ex. In Yorùbá

Igbá- 'Calabash'

Ìgbà- 'Time/season'

Igba- - 'Two Hundred'

Ìgbá - 'Garden Egg'

even if the writer put signs it will not stop the online warrior to use it to catch cruise..you just they look them

Where is the bridge?? Or maybe I've developed eye-problem...

It's happening in the South, West, North and it's also happening in the East, but the people have refused to understand they have a common enemy, continue the tribal banters while the nonsense you vote keeps cashing out on your foolishness...
