It's actually easy...with this platform by Sterling Bank, you can have your company registered with CAC and account Opened without legal Search fee charged for as low as 25k only

Oga rest.

Registering a company is not the same as owning one or running it.

I say rest.

I hope he would support them financially, at least 1million naira to put up such company. Talk is cheap. Registering a company that would collapse after graduation is nonsense.

One useless thing is that if you don't have a business that is yielding so much and you go ahead to register, you'll end up paying taxes to Federal Government in vain. Be wise folks...

Some will register their business under cac only to understand the implementation of remitting tax to FG... Some students live from hand to mouth how will they afford to establish business.... The best advice he should have given to FG is to abolish Nysc and give at least 500k to graduate to establish small scale business.

Way to go. Those who obey this man would thank him later in future. He must have gone to China to see how they run their education sector. CAC should just design a package for them such that, the fees would be easily affordable, just the way they always do each time they attend exhibitions and declare company registration almost free.

Entrepreneurial development should be taught in every department in our institutions of learning. I know of 2 medical doctors today who never consulted in their entire life. They're big time businessmen today. There's also a paediatrician, a lady who's doing well in fashion.

This concept is rare in our clime. Kudos to this man of vision.

The unfortunate thing about this policy is that once he leaves office the policy goes with him. The incoming administration might not continue with it. 😏

Another stupid Nigerian official. What does registering a company have to do with students getting their certificates. Is it everybody that wants to work for themself? Is every course geared to self employment? Should somebody that studied petroleum engineering, go and start digging for oil in his/her backyard?
Nigerian officials seem to think that once they have power over people, by dint of their office, that somehow gives them the right to just come out with any kind of dumb ass policy.

The CAC is not cost
iCauseTrouble:
I like this. I wish other schools can emulate this.
However, they should partner with CAC to make registration cost affordable for students.

Don't mislead others. Taxes are only a percentage of your profit, so if you don't earn, you do not pay. And if you record a loss, you don't pay taxes for that year; you only file your returns.
