Even though I may not be speaking for either DSS or NCS, but the truth remains that there are procedures for handing and taking over of suspects between Govt agencies. If the Court has ordered that Emefiele be taken to prison Custody, then the NCS and DSS personnel whom I think are officers with basic knowledge of their respective operational procedures within the guiding legal framework should have known that there is need for official and formal transfer of suspect from DSS to NCS as in this case wherein, detention order, history of Emefiele's health status, diet and personal effects while in DSS custody should be taken along with him to be well received and documented by NCS, his new abode. Somebody was overzealous among the two agencies and should be punished in order to serve as deterrent to others and also to stop this form of unhealthy rivalry in future.
