They actually waited for General Buhari to finish his term and struck. Buhari was the only pillar preventing the military from taking over since 2 years .

The decolonization of Francophone West Africa is in full swing. Just today Mali removed French as it official language.

Africans are gradually waking up and ready to take back their continent from imperialist.

Bazoum is a stooge imposed by France and his removal is a welcome development.

Mali's situation is more like a transfer or change from France to Russia and it's Sanger group. The people will soon know which is the better evil.

Russia and Mali are partners unlike France who sees them as a vassal.

LMAO
Russia and Mali ain't a fvcking partner man, Africa will always be a battle ground for the West and East if we continue to have simps and leaders, it is merely jumping from one chain to another.
Russia and their stupid Wagner group is responsible for the war in Sudan

Some coups wouldn't happen except some one got help from a foreign government.
The question is, which foreign power desperately need a change of government right now in most African countries. This just happened on the heels of BRICS-Africa summit. Something is coming, I have a strong feeling.

Coups will not be tolerated anywhere again in Africa. Any soldier that wants to lead Africans should resign and come and contest elections.

"We are closely monitoring the situation to ensure the safety of our citizens.:

Safety of its citizens is what bothers America about the coup in Niger Republic. Any other thing is secondary. Whether civilians or soldiers are in charge of Niger Republic, the US will still get its economic interests protected. In fact, the soldiers seeking for acceptance will protect the US economic interest more than in democratic government.
Thats like what made IBB quickly accept the IMF bitter pills in currency devaluation which eventually led to the impoverishment of Nigeria we are still going deeper into.

Gosh! Another major setback for democratic rule.

Shaky economic outlooks have always been the reasons that have led to these kinds of changes in government through the gun barrels.

Yimu.. but they won’t condemn the ones that serve their interest. Hypocrisy and double standard at its highest. On the flipside, they also support oppressive regimes that serve their interest e.g: supporting Elsisi of Egypt in overthrowing a democratically elected president of Morsi, simply because he aligned with the ‘Muslim brotherhood’. Africans should be wiser.

But he spoke the truth. They would have turned a blind eye if it served their interests like they did in Egypt when this current president ran over protesters with armor tanks before contesting for election, which he won after overthrowing a democratically elected government of Morsi and imprisoned him. Morsi later died in prison
