Re: Should Siasia Be Sacked Or Not by mensdept: 8:12pm On Oct 09, 2011
Yes, he should be sacked, the team disbanded, with the possibility of GEJ again banning the team.

What is happening with our local based players and clubs?
Re: Should Siasia Be Sacked Or Not by nsiadi: 8:30pm On Oct 09, 2011
Siasia reacted to his failure by tendering apology, does he expect us to accept that?
He BLUNTLY refused to accept Enyeama`s apology even when we know Enyeama`s offence was sexed-up

Siasia pockets N5,000,000.00 monthly, the highest ever by a local coach & we have nothing to reap in return. He has his head high in the sky & believes he is accountable to himself alone.
With flimsy charges he banned Osaze, the case could have been handled more maturely.
The case of Enyeama is even more nauseating. He just wanted him out of the way for his idol.
We all saw how abysmally the joker performed yesterday.

It looks as if the players ganged-up against him. May be they registered their annoyance with him in that subtle way. Its not good you joke with rich players.

Nigeria may be pitying Siasia if he had fielded Enyeama, if he had done the changes @ the right time,
if he has not been too quarrelsome. We could have allowed him a 2nd chance

Let him go, RIGHT NOWWWWWWWWWWW
We can do with Oliseh or Keshi.
Let Siasia go with his draconian policies, let him go with Ekalika. We dont need them
Before he goes let him refund 50% of money already paid to hom, in error
Yes ooooooo.

I predicted it before the match that with ayenugba in goal, we should forget the nations' cup ticket. Siasia is overreacting by banning erring players from important matches. Can u see now. I am even doubting his technical ability even when a nursery one pupil knew when to introduce IK uche and Ahmed Musa. He is riding on past glory abeg ! and he should be thrown out of the coaching set up in Nigeria. what did he achieve with Hearland? His hign handedness has cost us the nations' cup ticket.WHAT A PITY! cry
Re: Should Siasia Be Sacked Or Not by LagBlogger(m): 9:22pm On Oct 09, 2011
siasia should not be sacked.

Instead he should be allowed to consolidate and build a strong super eagles that can do Nigeria proud. Our golden years of football (1994 - 2000) was built by westerhof's consolidation (1989-1994) and siasia was among those who benefited during that period.

One thing that westerhof did not tolerate was indiscipline that is why the likes of Amokachi, uche okechukwu and okocha, Augustine eguavoen were checked, after westerhof left our football started taking a nosedive.

Siasia is hardworking and means well, he should be encouraged rather than jeered. Fine we are not going to the nations cup for the first time in 25 years but this is because we have a bunch of overrated players and besides siasia is not at fault for our wasted goal scoring chances. Why didn't the eagles convert their chances and why were they so fatigued? The guineans obviously wanted to qualify more than we did so let's learn our lesson and move on.

Peace to all!

HE SHOULD BE SACKED, when he was contracted, he was given a task to get to at least quarter final of the nations cup, now he couldn't even qualify us. WTF

It's simple. All bunch of age cheats who expire before their supposed expected time.

Our youth teams are always one of the best in international competitions but never translates to success at senior level.

We need a total revamp of our FA.

Best reply so far perhaps for someone who has experience trying to turn around difficult situations.

The worst thing you can add to a tragedy is confusion and uncertainty. Any deep malaise will take time getting out of such as the quality of our game.

I believe he's only lost one match in charge and much unlike the insinuations portray the team is playing much better.

Give him time.

Those who argue against his strict stance cannot even tolerate opposing views on an open, equitable forum such as this.

How anybody thinks it is possible to have indiscipline and success is quite frankly beyond me.
Re: Should Siasia Be Sacked Or Not by Babasessy(m): 10:28pm On Oct 09, 2011
Siasia is so naive and inexperienced. A good coach is flexible and not always rigid or hostile. He should drop his Egoistic tendencies. Why drop our best keeper Onyeama over such a trivial and  flimsy excuse before a crucial match. We all know footballers and their excesses, he was once player for crying out loud and we all know what he and the likes of Stephen Keshi did in their hay days, a good manager manages and pampers their top players, We all witnessed how Ferguson handled Rooney, Chelsea handles Lampard, Terry Ashley Cole etc, Barcelona handled Romario, Stoikov etc, Siasia should just resign and allow a more experienced Manager bring back the glory days to the Eagles.
Re: Should Siasia Be Sacked Or Not by bodejohn(m): 10:53pm On Oct 09, 2011
We nigerians do not know what we really want. It is only surprising to see more than 150million nigerians turn to become coaches just because they see less than a quarter of matches in the epl. For people who have followed the local league, ayenugba was better than Enyama during their days at Eyinmba. Even if Enyama is now better was it wrong for the coach to disciple an erring player? We really do not need a coach for our football teams, fifa should just allow all the 150million coaches in the country to be on the bench whenever any of our national teams is playing.

Siasia stays tight, NO SACK , those who want him sacked wud very well be disappointed,,,cos he has the support of majority of Nigerians and this is the first time we as a people clamoured for a particular individual as a coach for the super eagles so blive me this man(Siasia )has no other option but to succeed so we will give him that chance,

Re: Should Siasia Be Sacked Or Not by emiye(m): 11:44pm On Oct 09, 2011
If we had not conceeded the injury-time goal , would those advocating for sack say the same thing?

Sack is a no-no !  The guys failed to take lots of chances . Dont throw the baby away with the bath water!

Some of those seeming technical blunders in form of substitutions were desperate situations requiring desperate actions, it could have paid of.

Benefit of hindsight is what many  people are using to say all sorts now.

All in All, I think Siasia is one of the best coaches we have in Nigeria.

Re: Should Siasia Be Sacked Or Not by Oletunow(m): 2:33am On Oct 10, 2011
If you keep the same thing, do not be surprise; if you keep getting the same result.

MOD of Nigeria for the past two decades is to sack the National Coach after a bad performance, have those sacks brought us different results.

Agreed, people have right to be angry, the Coach and players have a share of the blame for losing out from the Nations Cup. The Players would be hurt the most, because the English League usually go on a little break during this period to allow Africans playing abroad to represent their countries, Mikel, Osaze and all those bigs names will be shamed when they see their fellow Africans representing their countries and they are idling out. The will miss the exposure, the match bonuses, etc,

Leave the Coach, let them learn from their mistakes and leak their wounds.
Re: Should Siasia Be Sacked Or Not by supaeagles(m): 3:40am On Oct 10, 2011
No do not sack coach Siasia. Let him be part of the rebuilding effort.
We have to accept we are a mediocre team at best.
Now it is time to support the Niger team, the "buzu boys"!!
Also the pain of our loss was some what abated when i saw the bafanas celebrating like fools thinking they had qualified!!
Re: Should Siasia Be Sacked Or Not by FLORIDACAR: 6:58am On Oct 10, 2011
Siasia is the best thiing that happen to Nigeria football in recent time. We crash out of AFCON so what? We are playing good football attacking minded at all time. Quite understand as football loving nation we all like to see our darling team qualify for AFCON. But things did not come our way this time. It's not the end of the world . In the spirit of sportsmanship we should all accept that we are not good enough right now. And allow the young coach to continue the good work of rebuilding our team. ,

velo10:

Siasia became the Nigerian coach  with his demands of a big monthly salarly. He made himself sound like a local superstar and created a lot of controversies. Right now, I don't give a damn abut him. I see him as the cause Nigeria is not going to be competing in major competition s until 2014. He should face the music. He should be sacked. Better coaches out there than those who deal on petty issues with their players.

God bless you just spoke my mind with out mincing words.

Cutting off the head is not the solution to cure the headache.
The coach should be left alone and be allowed to build a new team.
Re: Should Siasia Be Sacked Or Not by sicily4u: 11:22am On Oct 10, 2011
The man is silly and he should be fired right away, what are his achievements so far ?
Re: Should Siasia Be Sacked Or Not by Kx: 11:24am On Oct 10, 2011
Kx:

The only reason Siasia may not be axed is becos he is from Bayelsa State.

Otherwise, how else do one explain the fact that-
1. Amodu qualified Nigeria, won a golden bronze in ANC, qualified for world cup and he was fired?
2. Same for Stephen Keshi.

Siasia with the mandate to reach at least semi final of the ANC; he could nt even qualify and he is still on his job 48hrs after?

Re: Should Siasia Be Sacked Or Not by Rotade: 11:57am On Oct 10, 2011
Siasia does not have what it takes to guide our Super Eagles. He lacks managerial ability, a man who could not hold his wards, trying to pocket all the players all in the name of instilling discipline, lacked tactical ability, is not fit to serve as a head coach. With 2 -1 lead, we are home and dry for qualification even though we may not top the group. Instead of having that at the back of his mind, He threw cautions into the wind by removing Joel obi for Ehiogu, from that moment, the centre could not hold again. Let us also ask ourselves about his discipline records during his playing days. He should be ashamed of himself and and call it quit before millions of Nigerians begin to call for his removal. Siasia, go! go! go we don't want u.
