I usually don't lend credit to this Garba, even if he said "hello", but I agree with his assessment 100% on this one. Going into a military altercation with Niger would be a fools decision, and one that Nigeria and ECOWAS will end up paying for dearly. Niger has sought the aid of Russia, and Putin/Russia, having already shown keen commitment to his African partners will be surely respond to Niger substantially, the one player that will definitely not show, especially when they see Russia in the action(and which, I am sure, that a vegetable like Tinubu will be counting on for military support) is EU, US and NATO.

If the majority of Nigeriens wanted this coup, then the war is already lost by ECOWAS before it even started, because from what I can see, the majority of Nigerians/ECOWAS definitely have no interest in this war whatsoever. Fighting soldier that are duty bound to risk their lives on the battle-field(regardless of their opinion on the reason why they are fighting) is one thing, but it is a completely different Gorilla when fighting against a people that would happily risk their lives to defend their families, as well as their ways of life.

The Niger military with a combined force of less than 15,000 boots including Airforce personnel isn't up the 82 composite Division Enugu, 3 Armoured Div Jos, 81 Division Lagos Garrison Command. They can't withstand Land and Air forces of the Nigerian and Ecomog forces. The after-effect of the military action is the reason for caution. Let's not add the 1st Division in Kaduna and 2nd Division in Oyo.
