Good!

The enemies of democracy who claim their mandate was stolen, but craved military rule as the alternative to their own candidate winning, would soon come here to tell us how Mali or Burkina-Faso will fight Nigeria for Niger Republic.

Those sanctions when applied altogether would cripple Niger within 2months.
gather ur entire community and tell them the story

It is laughable calling Russia debt forgiveness of some African countries trash! but will praise sing the west to high heaven for their own debt forgiveness?

Regardless of your pro west perception, the somalia nation are very grateful to russian

Take time to open the link you shared and read.

Jama added that, under the agreement, part of the debt would be immediately written off while part would be subject to a rescheduling of payments.

Let Somali come out and tell you what fraction of the $684million owed Russia was cancelled . The more laughable thing is you expecting Russia as cash strapped as they are to go ahead and create an $8billion dollar nuclear facility in Niger Republic because of Uranium deposits, a mineral Russia itself has in abundance and mines.

As a Military Colonel or General, If you want to rule, simply resign join Politics and contest

You can't bully people to lead them as dictator.. that is long gone and unacceptable

* To the people confused on why we provide electricity to neighboring countries*

Nigeria Generates its electricity through Dams , we Dam rivers like Niger and Benue that flows in from other countries

For the water flow to have enough force to turn our turbine in places like Kanji we needed to stop other countries from building their own dam with the river

General Abacha had to sign an agreement with the neighbors, that we provide electricity and they pay but they are not going to Dam the river

* Why is it our Business ?!

Hillary Clinton, Obama and Gaddafi started a war in Libya...

Illicit arms from Europe got into Libya

Boko Haram began buying cheap illicit arms

The insurgency has lasted for over 10 years

how many years would Niger Crisis and it's insurgency last if we don't act now?!

Can we handle Niger IDP and refugee flowing in to Nigeria

.

I didn't vote for Tinubu but i know the danger of military rule. Civilian rule no matter how bad is always better.

I support Tinubu and ECOWAS decisions on this matter 100%. No to Military rule. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. As long as no be Angel Michael dey head the Military coup it's a no for me. Human beings are the same. The military itself will be corrupt and the 'Bloody Civilians' won't be able to even complain.

The supply of power to Niger by Nigeria is not an act of benevolence but rather a wise move to avoid a situation in which Niger puts one or two Hydro-Electric dam across the River Niger as it flows through their country before entering into Nigeria. Such dam by Niger will affect the utility of the Niger River for our own Hydro-Electric power plans.

If Niger has the backing of Russia and somehow survives anything we through at them now, when they dam the Nigeria River in Niamey or elsewhere it will not be a pleasant experience for us at all. Nigeria needs to approach this matter with caution and wisdom. Whatever battles you fight, try to project or envision the various possible end results before you go and commit yourself.

U guys just say rubbish.how much does niger earn from uranium? Do u have idea of the cost. Does niger have the money or u think Russia will build it for free.
Second, it will take at least five years to design and build, wat will happen b4 then
Thirdly, Niger doesn't even have the technical know how to maintain nuclear power in the first.
So the Russians will design, finance, build and maintain it all for free. Abeg park well
3rdly, they don't have nearby Water to cool down the Reactors. Check all Nuclear power plants all over the world are built near the Sea or Ocean for easy cooling. Even though they may be banking on the river Niger, it will get contaminated with radioactive elements and make the water unsafe for them and whole of west africa.

And even if you achieve that, you will pass through another country which is south south and southwest meaning you are still landlocked!

South south and southwest can wake up tomorrow and sanction you. We can declare a no flight zone on you.
We will control your military and economic decisions

North knows the impact of being landlocked and thatโ€™s why they are not calling for division. I am only surprised the southeast is filled with illiterates and donโ€™t know what they are asking for
Blocking it, is a declaration of war based on international laws, Egypt tried it on Israel by blocking red sea, didn't end well for them and won't for Nigeria, if Igbos eventually forms a separate country.

Either Russia or China can take up a project to build Hydro-Electric dam for Niger. It is not a direct move or aggression against Nigeria particularly when Niger has electricity challenges. And it is difficult for Nigeria to argue that the project should be stopped for any reason. That is why Nigeria has been providing electricity to Benin and Niger Republics all these years to avoid a situation like that.

Do you think building a nuclear power plant is the same thing as building a Lego castle? I get that you support Russia; I do, too , objectively. On the flip side, I see no reason why ECOWAS should ostracize Niger given that majority of Nigeriens appear to be in support of the military coup. Nigeria should thread carefully lest she finds herself enmeshed in a regional cinflict with her closest neighbour.

We should tread carefully. The trans Sahara gas project currently under construction that is supppswd to bring economic windfall to Nigeria once completed, passes through Niger. Also if I recall correctly, one of the reasons we supply Niger electricity is because we dammed river Niger which passes through Niger.

I wonder the school you people attended or you all just want to prove ignorant by spreading a false story.
Even if Niger build a hydro dam which they can't even build in 10 years time cos they are very poor, they are not the one in charge of the river cos the source is from guinea so the Guinea which is a good friend of Nigeria can cut off both Mali and Niger
,Besides 80 to 85 percent of Nigeria electricity comes from gas turbine not hydro... The hydro can only supply 700mw to 750mw.... So we can do without the dam... Do you just think sanctions just happen without clear planed thoughts... Russia could stand sanctions because they are self sufficient to some extent... Venezuela, Cuba, Iran and so on were still under ground from sanctions let alone a very poor country like Niger.
At least if you don't know things. It isn't bad to do some research. Simple.

but whosoever advises this move, should quickly do a re-think..

because if Niger, decided to build their own electric Dam upstream of River Niger in their capital..

bros, there will be no Kanji dam in Nigeria..

so be advised..

also, don't forget the river passes through Niger coup supporting countries

Ioga with the picture you put up, you can't still tell the source of the river is not from Niger nor Mali?
Even if Niger build a hydro dam which they can't even build in 10 years time cos they are very poor, they are not the one in charge of the river cos the source is from the golf of guinea ...
the Guinea which is a good relations of Nigeria can cut off both Burkina Faso and Niger from the river...

let me correct something, Igbo isn't totally landlocked except there is a new definition for landlocked. I am not igbo

Please explain how they are not landlocked... Let me guess through the river Niger that pass through onisha right... The same river that passed through the south south to the Atlantic and anything that makes the north dam that river in different dimentions it will be seasonal drought.. even with or without that, they are completely landlocked with the south south surrounding them. Or maybe your definition of free land is when something is in the middle.
Well if east is not landlocked then Niger is not landlocked too...

Many ignorant fellows here don't know that supplying them electricity was an arrangement to stop them from constructing a dam upstream of River Niger which passes through their territory before reaching our hydropower dams.
They can decide to enter into agreement with China to build a hydropower dam and there will be water shortage in Jebba and Kainji dams which will affect our own generation and output
