I am just wondering if it is possible for Joe Ajaero, who openly aligned with Peter Obi, to be politically neutral and act in the national interest. This protest and nationwide strike he has called for looks like a political stunt, especially considering that the current government has agreed to increase the minimum wage and that all major presidential candidates, except Kwankwaso, agreed that they would remove fuel subsidies. Including Peter Obi, who said they would go IMMEDIATELY.

This strike is unnecessary and very ill-timed, more so when Nigeria is facing a crisis in Niger Republic that could spill over into Nigeria and destabilise our economy and political institutions.

I may not support President Tinubu, but the palliatives and measures he announced two days ago were far-reaching and should have caused Labour and Ajaero to pause. But it didn't. What is their agenda? This is about Nigeria, and it is time for us to be patriotic and do what is in the country's best interest, no matter who is President. I am not sure that Ajaero would take this action if his friend, Peter Obi, were President.

What exactly does Joe Ajaero want? Even his own home state of Imo has introduced palliatives.

Should Nigeria continue to spend more on fuel subsidies than she spends on education, health, and housing? How is that economically viable?

And can Mr Ajaero explain why the pump fuel price in neighbouring Benin Republic went up as soon as Nigeria ended fuel subsidies?

Nobody should take us backwards to a Buhari era where we were borrowing to pay for fuel subsidies and tripled our foreign debt with nothing to show for it. Fuel subsidies must go, whether this present NLC likes it or not.

Electric bike where the road that it will pass in Ogun State.

Even the place where the bike is being shown to the governor in the picture is better than the roads in Ogun State.

On which roads will these electric bikes ply?
Re: Ogun State To Provide Electric Okada For Public Transportation. by thisisit: 9:17pm On Aug 02, 2023
Ogun state will import bike from foreign countries.
Ogun state will demand for scarce dollars to import the bike.
The price of Naira will deprecate more because of this subjective demand.
More jobs will be created overseas for the producing country.

WE CREATE PROBLEM.. AND CREATE MORE PROBLEM AS SOLUTION TO THE ORIGINAL PROBLEM.

That's the way it is in Nigeria!!

Patriotic Nigerians know that the Nigerian economy can no longer survive the payments of subsidy with borrowed funds. Just so people know, the D.M.O puts Nigeria's revenue to debt servicing ratio as 73:27.
Meaning that 73% of the country's revenue earnings goes straight back into debt servicing, with that huge debt profile, how on earth does one expect the country to grow or develop?
It is a painful moment in the country right now but, the downward economic trajectory of the country needs to be quickly controlled, because if not, we may be looking at the Zimbabwe's economic situations in the country in just a few years. Yes, the policies are harsh and biting at the moment, but we all just have to put aside our political differences and understand that what needs to be done must be done. After all, other candidates also planned to remove the subsidy, why cry wolf just because it wasn't another preferred candidate that removed it?
As for that Ajaero or whatever his name is, he's only playing the political game of his principal, reason he's never seen as a serious guy, even among his members.

So, u believe Ajero as d chairman of NLC could just wake up and declare protest out of his own volition?? Are u joking??

D NLC committee decided on wot to do plz...

And it's very unfair of demenot to protest.
Fuel toppled from 250 to over 600. Dats over 100% increase. Can workers salaries be increased by 100%? U know how high d cost of living is? What about people under minimum wage(30k)...? Plz wot can dis meagre do for someone in dis current situation in d country for a month? Transport alone can gulp d whole money. Just reason am.

Private sector can easily survive. because dey can always adjust d price of their goods and services to fit in. But civil servants and some sectors are badly trapped.

Dumb comment from dumb bigot.

I have a property in ogun state and appreciation ratio is very poor. The state is a poor state which need real development that can lift people in the state out of poverty. The road in other areas are horrible and govt is here thinking about electric motorcycle. Dumb person like you cant ask simple question: how is it going to be charged? how many government workers are going to have it?

Government should be providing staff buses as the first step towards the fuel crisis. I know some agencies have it but how effective are they?

There are states i will measure dickk with, but not Ogun State lol.

Its not worth it.

A property i bought in enugu have appreciated more than 150% and sold with much profit.

Abeg carry your dickk measuring contest to another state. Dont give A Bleep.

STILL A WHITE ELEPHANT PROJECT.
