I thought that Tinubu asslickers claim that Tinubu transformed Lagos and that everything in Lagos is working?

So with all the IGR, Lagos state govt can't fix a lift in a hospital or provide blood Incase of emergency?

Some blood sample are very hard to get.
Let her colleagues in that same hospital give us explanation why she wasn't promptly attended to and transfused with blood in time. Leave Tinubu out of this narrative. The facility was provided, the management of the facilities is a question of the 'nigeriaaness', nothing about Tinubu

Why are we like this, must the doctor go on strike because of this, instead of you to ask the government to set up a panel to fish out who's negligence caused her death you're going on strike to kill more inocent soul abi
they need to go on strike, that's what this useless government needs to get their attention

This sound like a foolish decision.

So what about all those that are sick that are currently in the hospital? Are they going to be left to die too with this indefinite strike?

How can they expect good investigation to be done within 5 days?

What they should have asked is for the governor to immediately sack the General manger of the Lagos infrastructure Management agency and hold her accountable for the issue since they said they reported it before. Then investigation can proceed.

But suddenly just grounding everything while still requesting thorough investigation sound somehow to me. Nigeria workers need to be trained on other way of negotiating with the government. They brain know nothing besides strike.

So person wey get life threatening illness for hospital now go need to be relocated or will they be left to die?
exception for emergency cases...or did we read different articles? In this country nah only strike fit get government attention. Or didn't you read the part of them making countless complaints about the issue in the past. If that was a colleague or family member of yours, you would do worse

Majority of the comments here are against doctors,as usual. Saying strike is not the way forward. Has the Government ever listened to anything but strikes?
In all my years working in the Western world, I've never seen doctors donate their blood or money for patients.
The first time I donated blood was so that it could be swapped for a patient who couldn't afford it. I was a medical student then and since donated more.
Nothing has changed and it won't change. Nigerian doctors do not deserve to serve the animals called Nigerians.
I strongly advise my colleagues to leave that country ASAP. Rest in peace Dr Vwaere.

No,
What's your profession?

What's the ratio of people doctor save to what they kill?
The doctors you criticize spent their lives helping people during covid when u were in your house, they were being paid about 3k hazard allowance yet your senators who go to sleep doing nothing in the national assembly they give dem millions.

You are criticizing dem......they should just sack all since they are all useless to u.

My profession is to secure you, doctors and the entire Nigerian populace.

Is it now a competition of counting kills by doctors? Can you even listen to yourself?

Only a very very DUMB person would believe doctors are above criticism.

During the COVID era, people like me risked our lives by providing safety and security for doctors to go to work

Others who do more important work than doctors are not even getting the 3k hazard allowance.

No one is forcing any doctor to go to work and any doctor that is useless should resign instead of killing people he is meant to save

All useless doctors should be sacked immediately and that includes you if you are a useless doctor.

In a sane society, the CMD of that facility would be facing prosecution now.

Such an avoidable, unecessary and unjustifiable death.

May God grant the parents, siblings and the entire family of the dead the fortitude to bear this everlasting pain.

blood sample? what do you mean by "blood sample" and how is that relevant to this discussion?

what are the "blood samples" that are hard to get?

kindly read the following again..

The information we got was that she was trapped in the elevator for more than 40 minutes before she was rescued.“We were also reliably informed that there was no blood available for resuscitation, and this has become a recurring issue as a result of the review made by the government on the previous policy on blood donation.

why is tinubu out of the narrative? is it no longer Tinubus Lagos that has the highest IGR, the four largest economy in Africa, where everything is working, the Lagos that is ahead and is the standard?

does tinubu not have this 'nigeriaaness'?

it's this lack of empathy and anyhow behaviour of irresponsibility that has killed a doctor.now doctors are upset and unwilling to work.now just pray you or any of your loved ones aren't at the mercy of an angry doctor or you don't have the amount the hospital is charging, then you can tell them to get out

RIP to the deceased but d declared strike is uncalled for .Going by ur warped logic ,one doctor life is better than many lives dt might be affected as a result of d ill-concieved strike .How many Patients had died as a result of doctors negligence! ;a recent case of an avoidable death of an innocent pregnant woman and her unborn child as a result of negligence at Gbagada General Hospital and many of such undocumented cases which most time the investigation never see d light of day.
Pls for the fact u chose to study mbbs doesn't makes others less of human being.
careless doctors go to jail because of negligence.you want doctors to serve and care for patients, use their own money to buy gloves, uniforms (Many Times drugs for patients) but their own life, welfare should not matter because they're doctors?

A person chose the job of a medical doctor out of love and empathy for fellow Nigerians as well as passion for the job yet the Same people don't have the right to be upset when one of their own died an avoidable death? How about her parents who have invested millions of Naira on her education (in this type of turbulent economy) they don't have a right to be upset? How about her siblings that will live with the pain of their sister who's gone and everyone should just take it as if it's not a big deal? Do You know how expensive medical degree is in Babcock and the tough processes it involves? You want doctors to give you care, empathy and compassion but they don't deserve the Same love? Una never start

Anyway my own advice to you is that start eating a lot of fruits and vegetables,do a lot of exercise and drink water to strengthen your immune system to prevent you from having to go to the hospital for any type of treatment because you already know the population of doctors compared to the number of patients.a word is enough for the wise 🚶

Lastly if you know the massive level of brain drain in the medical industry you will respect and value the few doctors that are still in nigeria.meanwhile I hope you know they have options (travelling abroad). professionals like doctors, lecturers and people in the sciences are traveling in droves so the few ones in Nigeria are still here because of the little hope they have in nigeria.the least they should get is a little empathy and value.

Another reason why Japa is the way to go. It's not all about money.

Human life is worthless in Nigeria. Imagine people who took Hippocratic oaths going on a 5-day strike. All medical issues are emergencies by default.

Any doctor who participates in this demonic activity should have their medical license revoked.

So accidents and doctors going on strike doesn't happen in Jappaland ?

BTW

Heartfelt sympathy and condolence to the family. This must be an enormous and profound loss of a loved one, hope and pride.

Just read through properly, who said its a competition to count people doctors kill, is that the point here?.....
Nigeria is where it is today because we hide the truth, all around the developed world there 3 very respected profession Health, Security and Teachers....they are well paid.....Here in Nigeria how much does a soldier earn, or a police or civil defence, how much.....compare the difference with what your political holders earn.

Whether you like it on not, Doctors remain important and essential, they should be taken care of and other sectors as well which include the military.

That's how you people praised Ngige who was a minister of labour that said doctor can leave the country if they like that Nigeria had enough doctors, they actually started leaving in drove una begin complain.

Always state the truth let's Nigeria be better

Nobody is happy wit d tragic demise of d young lady but u need to know d fact dt as precious as d life of d deceased to her colleagues and family so also alot of undocumented loss of lives as a result of doctor's negligence not only in Lagos state hospitals alone but in d country as a whole.Let me state it dt am quite aware of d brain drain in d health sector bcuz not just d doctors but other medical practitioners but that shouldn't take away our humanity from us ,go to d emergency section of hospital and experience what ppl go thru due to d negligence and crass attitudes of d few available doctors on duty (as a matter a senior Medical officer like registrar or consultant who are supposed to overseer d dept won't be around but at their various private hospital leaving d place into d inexperienced hands who are already burdened).Let me correct d impression dt many doctors are into practice cuz of d passion ,far from it ;it's about d ego and money judging from my over 15years experience in d health sector .It's well

The strike is meant to minimize hospital managers' ineptitude.
In a good society, the person responsible for overseeing the efficiency of that elevator can be charged for manslaughter.

I beg to disagree with ur reason for d ill-advised strike,do u consider d lives of patient who would be at risk especially d children hospital?.Anyway like u rightly said dt if it were to be in a saner climes dt MD ought to av be charged for manslaughter but dt brings me to d question of who is d head of dt hospital;a doctor of course that shouldn't have been in d first place .Like it's done in a saner climes ,an hospital administrator runs d hospital as chief executive officer while a physician especially one wit indepth knowledge of invasive skills head d clinical dept .
