*Text**: Psalm 92:1 -* *It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High*

Thanksgiving is an act of worship that never goes out of fashion.

Thanksgiving is the act of one showing gratitude for something that has been done or given to that particular individual. This psalm is just stating the fact that it is a good thing to give thanks to God.

Why is it good to give thanks? Because God has loaded us with so much benefits that most times we get use to these benefits( protection, health, provision) that we become unintentional about seeing the goodness of giving thanks.

An extension of thanksgiving is singing the praises of the one true God, the Most High. Don't be quick to table your request before God. Instead, use your praise to stir His heart because you were created to give him praise day in, day out. Thanksgiving and singing the praises of the Most High should be the posture of our hearts daily.

We must cultivate the habit of dwelling in thanksgiving and praises because when we don't, we are indirectly saying that Psalm 92:1 is not true.
Because thanksgiving is good, why not take the next few minutes to give thanks to the one who did not allow you to be swallowed by the situations and hardship in the country. And to your thanksgiving; sing His praises. Sing of the things He has done, is doing and will do.

Prayer: Dear Lord, I am deciding from this moment henceforth to be intentional about giving you thanks because it is good. Teach me to sing your praises at all times in Jesus name.
