Jonathan didn't simply because he's a minority because Africa's politics is a tribal war. If you view from Bazoum's perspective, by examining the key projects he has accomplished in his short time in office, you'll see that this coup plotters are enemies of the Niger people. What caused hardships in Niger is simply Nigeria's subsidy removal and some policies because most West African countries economically benefit from Nigeria. This thing hit everybody. Our subsidy removal is touring Europe with hardship as well. This is not a Bazoum's thing and as far as human being is concerned, after about a year or 2, when power has gotten into the head of the top most man, he'll be worse corrupt than what he thinks about Bazoum.
