Haba!, I'm from Benue state and travelled through abakaliki on my way to Port Harcourt, passing through so many local governments on concrete road for the first time really wowed me.Oneof the local government I can remember is Onitsha south.Meanwhile abakaliki is a spectacle since the last time I was there more than a decade ago.l also admired the glassy university of medical science, so I don't understand how those are substandard
Pay attention to the simple English I used. I said, "many of the celebrated projects", I didn't say "all the projects".

He is tired of life.

You should go to your church or mosque to beg and stop using different monikers on NAIRALAND to swindle people.
You have used over 50 monikers to beg. If you are genuine, you should have been known with one moniker. Using many is a clear indication you are a fraud.
The way I see it, you'll soon get deliverance from the Devil. Keep thinking you are deceiving people. There is nothing hidden that will not be revealed; covered that will not be opened.
The great day of your revelation is at hand. Be expectant, because surely it will come.

The Executive Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, has flagged off the construction of 16 vital roads within Makurdi, the capital city of Benue State.

Help is finally here for the good people of Benue!
The only thing these people know is road, they don't care if people are hungry or not

Soludo is also very useless , two years and it is hard to find any projects he has completed. He is good at pulling down structures , but to build anything na wahala. No work is progressing most sites are abandoned.
In fact to slap the idiot hungry me angry

The competition will be very High this time among the new governors

They 36 states altogether have access to about extra 500bn monthly from ending the subsidy. At least should get a very conservative extra 5bn monthly.

A high spike in the minimum wage may make mincemeat of any extra. They'll use it to pay hardworking, long suffering civil servants .

Every state in Nigeria surfers embezzlement of public funds. But some States are ahead of others in infrastructure. Akwa Ibom and Lagos are examples of States that lead in infrastructure. Enugu State tried during the time of Sullivan Chime. I will not include Ebony State because many of the celebrated projects are substandard.
Akwa Ibom ok infrastructure is needless because the successive State governments abandoned human capital development of their citizens to the core. Many AkwaIbomites are now hovering around looking for menial jobs like househelp, gateman etc just to survive. The same issue we are having with Ebonyi purported infrastructure just that SouthEasterners have a way of defeating poverty headon.

Like others of APC stock.
As if roads are all govs were elected to build.
APC governments don't understand that supply of treated portable water is the number one obligation of government to citizens.

How do you transfer equipment for construction? One step at a time.

How did colonial masters transfer equipments used in building public water supply systems of Gboko, Oturkpo, Katsina-Ala, and in the other rural areas then? Get it right without the usual APC excuses: APC governments at the national and state levels don't understand that provision of treated running water supply system comes as number one before any other social infrastructure.
I can guess that public water supply systems in the aforementioned towns no longer exist.

No room for excuses! He knew exactly the background, problem and solutions. That's only possible with a clear VISION & MISSION, accompanied by S.M.A.R.T goals. Governance must return to value creation by value creators. By this, government can create enabling environment where entrepreneurship can thrive towards a better economy.
Hurray...A clear English speaking, vibrant and prudent intellectual, Rev. Fr. Alia touches the hearts of BENUE people for the first time since Late Fr. Moses Adasu did it in 1992.
Long live-BENUE STATE!
Long live- CENTRAL NIGERIA!
Long Live-NIGERIA!
Our greatness is in our problems! The best is on the way...

Sycophantic praise singing like this makes me sick...was he not voted into office to do this job?? I wonder why Nigerians in year 2023 are still celebrating the flagging off of road projects by a state governor with fan fare and pageantry..something that a local council does in a saner clime.

Hope they all have covered drains and pedestrian sidewalks o.

Not that primitive open gutters and no sidewalk rubbish they usually build.

Closed drainage more money.
I'll prefare open draining if it'll guarantee money saved will be used to construct other roads. Maybe when majority of the road is constructed we can start closing the drainage.

humans with their insatiable nature,us here in Benue have been praying for those substandard projects, especially that substandard airport and those substandard flyovers at abakaliki. Our state was created since 1977 yet no single flyover or airport and no standard market that can compare to that fake one l saw named after the ex umahi's wife.

I think the governor should do well because Benue State has it in record that Fr. Moses Adasu did well as governor of the State.
#FatherMoses_Adasu
##Father_Alia
I pray he comes up with measures that would bring back the States glory.
