You don't get it. Flight to and from Nigeria from Europe will have to take a longer circuitous route to avoid the Nigerien airspace leading to increased travel time and higher jet fuel consumption. The airlines will factor these into ticket prices. Clear now?

You don't understand the technicalities behind this....pilots will understand this because they will burn more fuel trying to avoid Niger airspace but instead find and use other route which may be longer in distance when compared to that of Niger inorder to get to their destination.

Airport is different from Airspace.
Any flight from Europe coming to Nigeria pass through Niger airspace. As they close their airspace, the new route will be longer, consume more jet fuel and make the ticker more expensive. You get it?

Canada would definitely increase too except you fly Ethiopia or via Asia where they only fly east and not north. But if you book KLM, AirFrance, BA, and the likes. It will surely be more expensive.
