Nobody is talking about using niger's airport or number of air traffic.

This is about the shortest air route to europe. You have to fly through Niger's airspace then Algeria's airspace and then hit europe. Alternatively (longer haul, and more expensive coz will consume more jet fuel), will be through benin republic, burkina faso, Mali and finally Algeria. Also, some of these flights will need some of these country's airport just to refuel.

Study the map of africa and stop being ignorant . This is simple geography
