You put severe sanctions and use other non-military measures. Military is the last resort, and ECOWAS has not exhausted it's options yet.

You can't issue military ultimatum over a sovereign state. It was an unwise move.

Do u know how many diplomats both military, religious leaders, ethnic rulers and co that ECOWAS has sent to Niger to meet the Juntas. Even up till now, it is still peace talks that are ongoing. Is it when Obi says it that they will now start? What is wrong in having plan B. What happens if the Juntas insist the coup stays? If Obi is a real democrat as he claims, will he overlook a coup against a democratically elected government in a member state he is a chairman of its union? What if it is Obi that is the president of Nigeria and a Yoruba military coupist removes him, detains him and his family members and forms another military government, will the igbos say the coup should stay? If u can objectively answer the aforementioned questions, then I will respect you and your tribe. I hate hypocrisy.
