The initial threats and needless ultimatum complicated what could have been resolved earlier and more easily. We were talking at each other, instead of talking with each other.

Thankfully, wisdom and reason have prevailed and peaceful routes to resolution are now the only cards on the table. The wicked dreams of embittered ipob terrorists and other selfish & insensitive war mongers have been prematurely terminated.

Kudos to President Bola Tinubu.
Kudos to the Northern Political & Religious Leaders.

The islamic leaders diplomatically expressed Tinubu's apology for the hasty sanctions.......las las they will beg the junta to come up with a speedy transition program....who come win then?

I would have totally agreed with you if all these happened before the initial ultimatum elapsed.

The fact that they called bluff on the ultimatum without consequences….let’s just count our wins…including the crippling sanctions.
Easy to call the bluff going by past trends. The coupists knew ECOWAS was weak in previous circumstances where coups had taken place, no sanctions, no ultimatums, nothing to suggest they can bite, they only had negotiations with the coupists to conduct fresh elections and to return power yet the agreements have since been renenged, the military keep entrenching themselves in power while ECOWAS look away. I think the Niger situation is about repositioning ECOWAS.

100%. The coupists did not see the sanctions coming neither did they see ECOWAS and AU's ultimatum. Even Russia they thought would come to their aid called the coup anti-constitutional and wants democracy restored ASAP.

Which bluff? Where you expecting ecowas to go kneel down and beg the coupist?

The ultimate was to make the coupist aware of the possible military action against them. When to strike could be anytime from the ultimatum.

Bluff or no blufff, they can't withstand the heat of military action against them.

Only a foolish tribe does not know Tinubu will dare not venture into war in another country when
1. Boko Haram ravage his country.
2. Niger Delta militant
3. Ipob
4. Fulani herdsmen
Coupled with the fact that he is less than 1 quarter of a year as president. Does he even know who to trust before embarking on such.

If WW 3 break out today Tinubu can not take Nigeria to war cos Nigeria in already at war with itself.

You batists and lies. Yet you're always quick to call Obi a liar.
At least just run a Google search and see if sanctions were not imposed on Mali and Burkina Faso for the coup.
Must you tell lies to make your no- points?

So what now happened after the sanctions and ultimatum? The coupists ran away with their trails between their legs abi?
Whatever they are feeding you in that BAT camp is not good for your health.
They turned your envoys back from the airport after the sanctions and ultimatums and even refused to meet UN/AU/ECOWAS delegation.
The US secretary was also not allowed to meet the junta head or the deposed president. Stop believing your own lies.
The reason they met with Sanusi and these guys is because they are meeting them as fellow religion practitioners and not any ecowas envoy.

They succumbed to dialogue which they previously blatantly refused.

As per the bolded. Sultan of Sokoto is not a Christian last time I checked.

Muhammadu Sa'ad Abubakar (Sultan of Sokoto) is considered the spiritual leader of Nigeria's Muslims.

Succumbed to dialogue indeed. Who have they dialogue with? Islamic sect leaders. Are Islamic leaders part of ecowas committee?
You're still confirming what I wrote.
The sultan went there as a member of ecowas delegation not Islamic leader and was rebuffed. He went with a former Nigerian head of state and the president of ecowas commission. They were not allowed to leave the airport.
Sanusi and these guys went strictly as leaders of Islamic sect not ecowas.
If you can't spot the difference, I can't help your delusion

Mention one diplomat or ecowas envoy among all those listed on the fp

1.
PRESIDENT BOLA TINUBU has sent a delegation led by former military Head of State, Gen Abdulsalam Abubakar and The Sultan of Sokoto to Niger for end the crisis.

2. Bala Lau, who is the National Chairman of Jamatul Izalatu Bida Waikamatu Sunnah, said the clerics were in Niger on behalf of PRESIDENT BOLA TINUBU who accepted their request to intervene.
