Very true . I remember when Sowore was arrested . Someone in DSS told me he has a nice breakfast of Fried rice and juicy chicken . Look at El Zakzaky and the feeding budget .

The one na just a young FFK wanna be . A political jobber . A loud-mouth, money for support opportunist who stand for nothing except his stomach .

First, as apologist will always do-- pick one part of the report.
What happened before the FBI shot dead Craig Robertson.
How was he killed?

Moreso is Reno glorifying abuse of citizens right while in DSS detention? Or what does he mean by eating one week old bread and water while awaiting trial

Reno absolutely spoke my mind here! Indeed, perception is stronger than reality.

Give it up for Babatunde Fashola here who has instantly sued one of those creeps for criminal defamation.

the military has ruled Nigeria more than the civilians....I stand to be corrected....and yet all na same....

It was the military that exposed Nigerians to corruption with impunity that we are battling today and deprived us of evolving our democratic processes.....

This democratic phase we are passing through now ought to have been experienced over forty years ago but the military no gree... we still dey gather Abacha loot till now!

Those calling for military action are just neonates in adult bodies... they do not know what military rule entails..... when they dont have their twitter and other social media platform again, them go learn. when their businesses are raided at will and theirs goods confisticated, dem go know. when there is no freedom after speech and their wives, sisters and girlfriends are violated at will, them go understand the meaning of military rule....
Well said!

I know Reno is a sycophant, but it's an aberration for people to be calling for military rule in Nigeria. It's treason.

On a second thought, I noticed it's either the Igbos (cos of Obi's lose) or young adults who have never experienced military regime or were too young to remember anything. I laugh mostly at them. Do you think military regime will allow this nonsense freedom you on social media.

You talk anyhow again a military govt, it's either they kill you secretly or detain you and nothing will happen.

I remember during Buhari period adults where doing frog jump on Lagos street. The human right abuse is too much during military regime.
Indeed.

Those of us who are older and witnessed these brutal military dictatorships know better. General Buhari's time in 1984 to 1985 was a bit less brutal than the Generals IBB and Abacha military governments' mass corruptions, murders, assasinations and brutality.

Those guys are the best politicians, they know how to play their games, they are playing the game of "if you can't win them then join them". People like them can dine with their worst enemies just to get what they want.

There is a big difference between Messrs Emefiele and Kanu, who can feed themselves and other DSS inmates from their pockets, and Messrs Tom, Dick and Harry, who is borrowing data to call for insurrection online.

Messrs Tom, Dick and Harry will eat enough watery beans in DSS cells if caught.

Democracy in Nigeria?
If this Reno had the iq level to understand that Nigeria's democracy is a falsehood given the country's lopsided political structure created by northern soldiers to favour Arewa politically and economically. In Nigeria's democracy, it's either Arewa wins presidential election or Arewa appoints a surrogate presidential candidate from the south who must win.

Perhaps Reno should have referenced in his statement any specific call for coup in Nigeria by some known relevant personality. Otherwise, it could be read that he is using this opportunity to ingrate himself with the govt in power or worse still, indirectly making the suggestion via his statement.

I think he should concentrate on more relevant matters like palliatives and other issues plaguing the country right instead of these sorts of posts

Coup is very necessary in West African countries because majority of the civilian politician abuse their offices.

In East Africa for example, their democracy is growing and the politician do their best to satisfy their people.

That is why Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda have enjoyed political stability.

The average Nigerian politician see the masses as conquered people.

But with the soldiers standing by with the intention to stage a coup it makes the politicians to moderate their conduct.

Yes ! Democracy is the best form of government in the world but in Africa it is not working well especially in West Africa where we have countries that were ones former colonies of France, Portugal and Britain.

Nigerian politicians are very corrupt and wicked.

They need a third force to checkmate their greed.

Even if the military are very corrupt it is not as wide spread as that of the politician.

Legislation are made by the Supreme military council or Armed Forces Ruling Council and quickly implemented.

There is nothing like I give you this and I get this from you in return.

That is why most of the 36 states in Nigeria including Abuja were created by the military.

How many states have the civilian created in Nigeria.

AFRICAN POLITICAL INDISCIPLINE NECCESSITATE THE NEED FOR A COUP.

Ordinarily majority of African do not want the soldiers to govern.

But it is the gross indiscipline among the civilian political class that is making the military to step in to salvage the situation.

You are obvously too young.

The military created 36 states based on orders, no deliberation, no national assembly, no will of the people, civilians have better approaches to creating such structures, hence the reason they cant easily create. If kaduna was created under a democratic govt, the people of southern kaduna will likely not opt to be together with the people from the northern part of kaduna, okun people of kogi will likely join their kinsmen in ekiti or ondo

If Buhari was a military man, he wont even tage Ruga discussion beyond himself and his friends in the SMC (who are largely soldiers appointed by himself as ministers and state administrators), soldiers will be in your village, mapping grazing routes to herders. water resources bill wont be deliberated by you on social media, decrees will simply be issued

And as for corruption, Abacha loot is still being recovered after more than 2 decades.

To cap it all, your free speech will be taken away so you cant complain, and there will be no end date in sight cos there is nothing like election.....when one coupists gets tired of the current coupist, he simply stages a coup and the cycle continues.

plus many international sanctions that will even make japa hard for U and reputable businesses deliberately avoiding the country.

Dont let your anger prevail over you to think a selfish coupist is better than even a flawed democracy.

Till we get it right, democracy remains the only option while it is being refined and we all learn

He is not making any sense unfortunately. Do you know why there can be no coup in the west, because they practice real democracy- delegation/devolution of powers. countries like UK, US, Germany, Canada etc all have autonomous regional or state government. since power is not concentrated at the centre there is nothing to takeover. since Nigerian elites have decided not to restructure then there will always be the possibility of coup either in this govt or the next.

Starvation to a presoner is torture, that's abuse of office too, and is one the reasons the military must intervene as coup. Coup is a natural resource if power is abused or election is constantly rigged.

Reno is an attention seeker. Saying you prefer military rule to democracy is protected as a freedom of speech and right to have an opinion.
PLANNING a coup is what crosses the line. You can't arrest someone for having an opinion or expressing it.
Reno and all his cheerleaders in this forum know this!
