Tobi and her coach goofed sha why na
3 failed invites in an athletic season which she won several races and eyebrows won't be raised? Haba tongues must wag as much as no concrete evidence can be tabled against her apart the absence

I think she should face a sort of financial penalty cuz she needs to learn to obey her bosses

On the other hand, make she no come dey confess 20yrs from now asking for forgiveness cuz I trust no man!

Emotions over logic all over again
What stupid logic are you talking about? Someone invited for antidoping tests multiple times within a short period of times and she attended majority but do to the fact they were too many she missed some, isn't that obvious she's targeted? Or you don't actually know what happened and just saying nonsense all over the thread?

How many did she attend? That's the question you should ask

Painful losers

Whites? Very painful losers.

Since Africa refused supporting them in a diabolical war, they resorted to digging dip to cancelling old gold medals.

I will tell you what they are appealing

The WADA rules are clear

Athletes are required to provide. WHEREABOUTS information 365
days a year and WADA can turn up anywhere you are anytime to demand a sample.
If They turn up and don't find you it is a violation. If that happens 3 times within 365 days you get automatic suspension. No exception

Now the question is did that happen with Amusan yes or no? It is as simple as that.

If it happened and her suspension is not upheld then that could effectively mean that the rule is overturned and no longer in effect for other athletes once a precedent is established

What an objective person should ask is what was Amusan's defence?Did she deny missing 3 tests or Did she admit it and give a reason ,what was the reason and Why was a that accepted.

The rule was not made because of Amusan

Her defense is that she was being targeted because of how she was been contacted consecutively above normal and the panel saw evidence she was being targeted. She was also tested days away from the missed tests

If you have nothing sensible to say just shut your mouth

Amusan is the reigning World, Commonwealth and African Champion in the women's 100mH.

The World Athletics Championships holds on August 27-29 in Budapest, Hungary.

As usual the white supremacist wants to make sure that she doesn’t participate in the event but they will be shamed…

Shut the Bleep up! Are you saying it's not possible for someone to be targetted regardless of their race? It happens in all industries - people get unduly targeted. There has also been several evidence of black people being targeted the world over so it makes sense for a black man being targeted to conclude it's racial because that's the major reason most black people are indiscriminately policed by white officers and civilians alike - I live in Europe and I've experienced civilian neighbors and random white ladies policing and trying to interrogate me just because of my color.

If it's possible that people can be discriminated, why did you outrightly dismiss her defense without considering the facts on ground. Or you think agencies and organizations should be allowed to do whatever they want and abuse their office because they have been given a certain mandate?
Re: Disciplinary tribunal clears Amusan of doping violations, AIU vows to appeal by oloriooko(m): 8:38am On Aug 18, 2023
This is inconsequential cuz what they tabled now is the 3 times she failed to honour their invites not the ones she attended
In world athletics dope testing is mandatory irrespective of number of times you have been tested especially when your performance is turning heads in your direction.
Do you think if she scales this now, will she ever ignore testing invites again?

If rhe number of times she tested is not necessary, why did the panel discharge and acquit her trial? The number of times she's been tested matters, otherwise, the organizations and agencies in charge of conducting these tests can arbitrarily target a certain athlete and frustrate him/her.

You think they'll just say "doping tests is mandatory irrespective of the numbers of times you've been tested" without putting mechanisms in place to prevent abuse? If someone is being subjected to tests too often, there should be a probable cause which they themselves should be able to prove

She has a golden opportunity and she should take it even more serious. Her excuses are not untenable at a global view. She should not be creating rooms for dusts and shadows to gather around her. Virtually all top athletes and sports figures are subjected to this scrutiny at every levels, Hers shouldn't be different. To now think they gave her 3 attempts is extremely worrisome and a cause for concern. Anyway, I wish her the very best.

Good. This is how the PEPT Tribunal will clear Peter Obi to be president.
Then INEC can go and appeal.

Just go to Google and search most tested athletes. You will learn something hopefully

And being targeted has to be the first defence without any evidence?
Anytime things go against you the first thing is

Is it because I am black?

That paranoid approach. Does not work?
Jiri Prochazka was tested more than 50 times in 2022 so spare us the stupid whingeing
Kamaru Usman has tested more than 15 times in a single year. If he was Jiri you would bring up the same stupid racism argument
Every time you do that you hurt people who suffer genuine racism.

The reality of racism is you still have to prove it not all this stupid victimhood ranting
At any rate she missed 3 tests so how many tests did she have?
There is a 3 test rule so how many tests does one have to have as evidence of targeting?

Good one

The appealing makes it look personal.
No it does not

If you understand the implications of the decision you would get it.

The decision effectively means that that particular rule has been revoked.
It would apply across board to ALL athletes in future.

That is not desirable

It is a fair and reasonable rule to have to fight doping and has been around for a long time since 2004

Others have been suspended before for the same reason even

Are we to say the rule is scrapped because of Amusan?

You need to see it from that angle because that is the implication

Actually his submission is right?
You think an athlete undergoing 10 doping tests is too much??
There are several others who are not black and have been tested more than 20 times in a calendar year. Her greatest excuse would have been if the rule didn't exist and was made just to victimise her, she's not the first athlete to get suspended because of this. Have you heard of Christian Coleman before?? The rule is very clear and others that that failed to have the test 3 times in on a 12 months period were also suspended. Trust an African to sometimes cry racism and try to take the system for ransom for their own misdeeds.

Don't waste your time on illiterates

The rules are clear
Athletes within this RTP must provide ‘Whereabouts’ information. The ADO must be able to demonstrate to WADA that it has ‘conducted an appropriate risk based approach in allocating athletes to their whereabouts pool(s)’. This is designed to ensure that ADOs test their athletes sufficiently.

Athletes within an RTP don’t just have to provide a location where they will be available for testing for one hour each day. The premise behind ‘Whereabouts’ requirements is that athletes can be tested at any time. They therefore have to provide the following information concerning every day for the next three months:

• a home address, email address and phone number;
• an overnight address;
• the periods when they will attend training, work or education, as well as the location addresses;
• competition schedules and addresses; and
• a 60 minute time slot each day when they will be available for testing, as well as an address for each time slot.

THE POINT IS AN ATHLETE CAN DOPE NOT ONLY DURING COMPETITION BUT DURING TRAINING

An athlete may be clean in competition but not in training. That is the point of this scheme to stop doping outside competition during training

The scheme is designed to say we can appear to test you any day without notice
If we don't find you and it happens 3 times in a year suspension

After the second miss that is last card and the third miss is check up
So if she heard last card and allows check up she is probably doing something funny

I am sure she must have got off on a technicality. Missing 3 tests is very suspicious especially when you know the rules a professional
