90% are not only ignore but encouraging, you will see a mother telling her teenage daughter to look for money where her peers are getting it, this is jobless girl oo. fathers are the one carrying their sons to babalawo for him to be successful in yahoo stuffs, some even go further by putting their names on properties acquired by those teenage ritualists (by fronting for them). Teen girls go out naked in name of fashion in present of parents, yet parents pretending not seeing it. What about parents carrying their wards to miracle centers? Naija is doom! 9 Likes |

Those undisciplined parents call it love to their children. They plan that the western countries are the final heaven for their kids. Forgetting that the same discipline they lack here will continue to repatriate them back to Naija and the humble disciplined ones from simple background making it better in those countries 2 Likes |

Very correct, I had a neighbour then. The children don't greet. This made me not respect the parent. How they raised such kids. I can't imagine me raising my kids that way. 15 Likes |

Yes. Part of the reasons for the moral decline in Nigeria. Part of the reasons why some persons support political characters with questionable backgrounds & track records. 3 Likes |

You hear thongs like, leave him/her, they still a child. Truth is that, women tends to have soft heart towards their children, despite the fact that the child does something terrible, but a man will surely react, by punishing the child. Na why pikin wey woman or single mother train dey get k-leg for character. Even as an adult and my father is late, i still can't do somethings, all because of my good moral upbringing. 7 Likes |

Social media is doing more harm than good to the mentality of these children. Can parents have full control of their children's access to social media. Impossible. |

The parents were given the kids....hence, their responsibility. In the US where laws guide kids so much still have comity of parents who stand against the state to stop.laws affecting the family. Here, we so have a myopic approach to life.... The kids have always wanted to run away from.parents or want to escape the same scenarios their parents live through almost all their lives. Undisciplined parents produces who....?! I was a teacher, I know second hand 1 Like |

Truvelisback: It's a cascading effect. The government failed the society, the society failed the parents, the parents failed the children, the children will probably fail the future generations too. Unless changes start from the top, the level of rot in our social political life cannot be addressed. 2 Likes 1 Share |
