If you don’t know, what the guy did by revealing classified info makes you more unsafe. DSS probably gave them the info and told them what to do and then set up machinery to counter it. By announcing it to the world, the terrorist will never use that method again and will re strategize. That intelligence which would have cost govt millions of naira to gather is a waste. More importantly, we might have lost an opportunity to arrest them thereby leaving them free to carry out attacks elsewhere.

See if it was American government I might not have a problem with your analysis, but this is Nigerian government that failed its citizens uncountable times even with classified information available at their disposal and you want me as a Nigerian to trust them, let me ask you a question, if the present Nigerian government told you that Boko haram is planning on attacking the train your child is about to enter to go to school from Lagos to Kaduna that you should not worry that they have put things in place to secure your child, would you put your child in that train?

This is a step in the right direction as long as the DSS undertakes a painstaking investigation to establish the facts so they do not end up punishing the innocent.

The ease with which sensitive documents and information leak on social media is disturbing. It endangers national security and even exposes the public to harm. It is a highly unpatriotic and treasonable act and must be nipped in the bud.

It is an official matter so a letter has to be written not word of mouth informing The Manager.


A letter going out from an office would have an acknowledgement copy as evidence of letter sent and received.


There is no way an evidence for an audio conversation would be possible as suggested by you.

In America, in 2023 alone, more than 25 thousand people have died from gun violence alone. Do you have that many killed by boko haram yet this year? Why didnt America prevent them? These are people’s fathers and mum. You are here defending it while condemning your own security agencies. In the last seven years, an equivalence of the entire population of ST LUCIA, a Caribbean country has been wiped off in USA from gun violence. Anyway, the guy has been arrested and I have taken my time to try and educate you about the reason why he has to be arrested.
