We just dey destroy and demolish things undecided

Why not bring the culprits to book and convert the refinery to government use?
Since they refine fuel of nice and high quality octane value, why not convert it to government property?
Even if the standards fall short, why can't it be upgraded?

If you can ask these questions, then you already know the answer...

not a profitable venture if you have to buy the crude. It also degrades the environment. So only option is destruction

Kudos to Tinubu-led FG. Since the inception of this administration. There have been several bursting of the activities of smugglers and illegal refiners. We are going somewhere.

1. What you call refineries are just "makeshift boilers" constructed to distill kpofire aka low quality diesel, kerosene and petrol.

2. Crude oil is stolen from compromised pipelines. This is the only motivation for the illegal business. Take away the awoof stock and they will all abandon the hazardous activity.

Destruction is the only option.

If you learn and refine the construction of the make shift boilers that costs a few hundred dollars is it bad Instead of waiting for govt multi billion refinery that never surfaces

Tinubu is a saint became a billionaire from nothing, never sold drug and never stole public funds, graduated from Chicago university with distinction and best in his class, he did his nysc in Osun state and won his election into power flawlessly. He doesn't sniff cocaine or do drugs. He bought his jet by saving the money he was paid as a governor and built mansions all over the world by the salary he was paid as an oil company staff. Everyone should emulate the drug baron, sorry the saint

Or better yet give each of them one of the three non functioning govt refineries with some cash to get it working. I am sure they would succeed

Help me ask them o.
Refinery a whole Nigeria cannot build for more than 30yrs now individuals are building even if illegally and you are burning.

Does it not tell us something is seriously wrong with those in government?

A sensible governments worse case senerio will be to acquire and upgrade them, but no, "na the burn burn na him dey sweet them pass", in late Felas' voice.
