When will the troops destroy massive illegal mines up north...

Insecurity up north is caused by illegal mining activities..

Boko haram was the smokescreen to sack entire villages in order to expand illegal mining operations..

The northern elders know because they benefit from it and because Northern resources can not be shared with the South both Southern oil and gas belongs to one nigeria

We just dey destroy and demolish things undecided

Why not bring the culprits to book and convert the refinery to government use?
Since they refine fuel of nice and high quality octane value, why not convert it to government property?
Even if the standards fall short, why can't it be upgraded?
Nigeria is just a waste..

Someone is trying to do some cover up here, it's just unnecessary. We can learn from the local technique used to refine the crude common sense should tell us that.
They will never do that because it is done in the south,GEJ should have done this if he wasn't jittery.who talks about the illegal mining going on in the North.

What about the lands, troops keep destroying South South lands and environment thinking they are working.

Why not take those oil off before setting the station ablaze at least to prevent oil spills..

U don't build legality on ILLEGALITY.
have u seen how the environment is?
Do u know those guys work in that environment almost if not naked?
Can a bsc holder subject his/her self to such working conditions?
Also do u know the level of toxicity the environment has been exposed and subjected to with the cruel activities engaged by these guys?

In all, it is not worth it.
Now that sector is fully deregulated, let the billionaires and investors come in with the cash to invest in modular refineries...
If we have 30 of such refineries, these guys will get work.
Re: Troops Destroy Massive Illegal Refinery In Delta State (photos) by Nerdnextdoor: 7:50am On Aug 25, 2023
Gbam!!! Modular refinery on my mind, if only they weren't stealing crude oil.
aieromon:

1. What you call refineries are just "makeshift boilers" constructed to distill kpofire aka low quality diesel, kerosene and petrol.

2. Crude oil is stolen from compromised pipelines. This is the only motivation for the illegal business. Take away the awoof stock and they will all abandon the hazardous activity.

Destruction is the only option.

Why destroy what you cannot build. Instead of building on their capacity and use them to solve our current problem

With the present state of our economy, i think its time Govt bring these people to the table for enlightenment on how they refine crude without a billion dollars refinery.

People are yet to understand why our refineries "must not" work!
No one's gonna spoon-feed you with truths that you can dig up for yourself.

Until then, let's keep enjoying our dependence on the west...

The biggest joke is even fighting those that seek true independence.

There is nothing to learn from those crude activities. i guess some are been swayed for less information and misinformation. this guy's steal this crude and they just boil it to obtain diesel that is unpure. their operation seriously pollutes the atmosphere, and their operation is so very unsafe as it causes explosion which kills them most of time. So nor let motivation speakers deceive you.

Nigerians can generalize sha! Petty villagers in the ND that use kpo fire Don turn to most companies? So a big company like zenith uses kpo for diesel for all the generators in their branches nationwide abi?

Refine fuel of nice and high quality octane value? Are you normal at all?
If it was easy to refine crude oil, Dangote wouldn't have spent $20bn to build one. Building of modular refineries won't be expensive.

And anyone with a knowledge of fractional distillation can build a refinery but it doesn't mean the refinery will produce high quality fuel
