Instead of government to highly invest that money on state institution to protect our national assets, they are putting the money in the pocket of some criminals. When you go to their base, you will see them training with guns like military.

What the foolish government doesn't ask themselves is, after the contract where will these boys with military trainings and guns go to or what would they be doing after the contract?

Contract haven't ended, they have started stealing.

It is so obvious that the money paid for your school is either wasted or not used for the intended purpose because you lack basic comprehension. Go back and read the news again and respond properly.

only few people read the article..
let me summarize it for you guys.

Navy accused tompolo boys for trying to snatch Engine and ended up escorting stolen crude and was released after a staff of tompolo company came and identified there staff.

TOMPOLO IS EQUALLY ACCUSING NAVY FOR GUIDING A STOLEN CRUDE IN A WOODEN VESSEL WHICH WAS INTERCEPTED BY HIS MEN. BUT THE OWNER OF THE BOAT ESCAPED AND CALLED NAVY THAT'S IN DAGOTE COMPANY TO COME TO HIS RESCUE. WHICH THEY DID AND ALLOWED THE STOLEN CRUDE TO BE TAKEN AWAY..

NOW WHO DO WE BELIEVE?

God bless you man.

Nairaland is largely made up of really strange people.
All the comments on the first page reacted only to the headline, and that makes it even more pathetic. How can a large group of people not read news that's not more than 2 minutes before anchoring their opinions from left right centre.

For the fact that the Navy personnel came from Dangote refinery to set free the wooden vessel, the story given by the TANTITA supervisor is more believable.
There are many cases of Nigeria Navy setting free arrested crude thieves in the past one year so this might just be an addition to the long list

Why can't you be reasonable and think before you leap your mouth. Note: SS are the problem to themselves, traitors. Money allocated for oil spillage management etc gets disappeared into oblivion.

A country that should be selling 2 million barrels of crude daily for 200 million people, almost half of the 2 million barrels is stolen daily by less than 500 persons and shared among themselves and the government is claiming not to be able to stop the less than 500 person from stealing for almost 8 years and counting.

And some people want me to believe that APC/Buhari and Tinubu mean well for Nigeria

The problem is that they think some other tribes with no oil shouldn't be saying "our oil". cool

Funny country....

Failure of state institutions.

When it is no longer clear as to who is the enemy, when the guard needs to be guarded and CCTV needs to be installed in the CCTV monitoring room.... then it is time to close the business.

And all this is simply caused by a nation that abhors the rule of law. When root to tip the citizens love impunity no matter how much it costs them.
